    GATE Total Marks 2026— IIT Guwahati has published the GATE 2026 total marks on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The GATE exam total marks are 100 for each of the 30 papers. Negative marking applies only to Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer, while for 2-mark MCQs, 2/3 mark is subtracted. Further, the total marks for the GATE 2026 include marks for general aptitude, compulsory section, and the candidates' selected subject.
