WBJEE Counselling 2026 - The WBJEE Board will announce the Phase 1 Round 2 WBJEE Decentralised 2026 seat allotment on September 14, 2026. The authority will upload the WBJEE decentralised seat allotment 2026 link on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Those who have successfully completed their WBJEE Decentralised counselling process will be able to download their seat allotment letter. Both WBJEE and JEE Main participants are eligible for the counselling rounds. Earlier, the Phase 1 WBJEE Decentralised 2026 round 2 seat allotment was released on September 11, 2026. Along with the WBJEE 2026 counselling registration, candidates must complete the choice-filling process. After the conclusion of the choice-filling process, the exam authority will release the WBJEE seat allotment result 2026 separately for all the rounds. Candidates must know the details about the process of West Bengal JEE 2026 counselling to know how to participate in it. By being familiar with the counselling process of WBJEE, candidates will be able to sail through the procedure without any hitches.
Step 1 - WBJEE Registration: Firstly, the candidates will have to register for counselling 2026 by visiting the WBJEE official website at wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates have to make sure that all of the details submitted are correct since it cannot be edited after submission. It is to be noted that for all rounds of allotment, there is only one registration period. No registration will be allowed after the WBJEE counselling 2026 last date. The given steps can be followed by the candidates to complete the registration of WBJEE 2026 counselling:

Step 2 - Payment of Counselling Fee: After registration, candidates will be required to pay a certain amount as the WBJEE counselling fees. Candidates will be able to pay the fee in online mode i.e., debit card/credit card/net banking. It is to be noted that the counselling fee is not refundable.
Step 3 - Filling and Locking of Choices: Next, the registered candidates will have to fill their choice of colleges and courses in online mode for the WBJEE seat allotment 2026. The choices have to be selected in the order of preference. Editing and locking of the selected choices have to be done before the specified final date. If the candidates are unable to lock their choices before the final date, then the system will automatically lock the last saved choices. A printout of the filled choices has to be taken out for future reference.
Step 4 - Seat Allotment: The authorities allot seats to the registered students based on their merit, selected preferences and availability of seats through online, centralised WBJEE counselling. Three rounds of seat allotment will be conducted in online mode. Students can check their WBJEEE 2026 allotment status after logging in using their credentials. Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates. To download the online seat allotment letter, candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan of Allahabad Bank).
Step 5 - Document Verification: Candidates who will be allotted seats through WBJEE counselling 2026 will have to report to their respective reporting centres and get their documents verified. The required fee must also be paid by the candidates. The following documents have to be presented at the reporting centres for verification purposes:

Step 6 - Reporting to Allotted Institute: Reporting to Allotted Institute: Finally, the candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institute for confirmation of admission. The provisional allotment letter issued also has to be presented at their respective institute. The candidates will also have to carry original and photocopies of their documents.

This is an optional round. The WBJEE mop-up round is conducted after the completion of WBJEE counselling rounds 1 and 2. To participate in the mop-up round of WBJEE 2026, candidates need to register online. Newly registered candidates will have to pay a registration fee as well. Students having a valid rank in the WBJEE 2026 / JEE Main 2026 will be eligible to participate in the mop-up round. All the participants will have to provide a fresh choice of colleges and courses. The allotment of the mop-up round will be announced on the official website. Students will be required to accept the seat and pay the acceptance fee before the last date.
After accepting the seat and paying the acceptance fee, students will need to appear at the WBJEE 2026 reporting centres as per the schedule. WBJEE reporting centres are the institutes allotted to the students during the counselling. Candidates need to carry all the necessary documents to the WBJEE reporting centres.
