    WBJEE Decentralised Counselling 2026- WBJEE Board has extended the WBJEE 2026 Decentralised counselling registration process till September 9. The authority has published the revised WBJEE Decentralised 2026 counselling dates on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. The notification mentions the application process, revised eligibility, choice filling, seat allotment and further admission formalities. This round is a type of spot or vacant seat round held for BTech admission across all participating institutes through WBJEE counselling. A total 36,491 vacant seats are available, including 33,857 seats for Engineering/Technology/Architecture and 2,634 seats for Pharmacy.

    Eligibility for WBJEE 2026 Decentralised Counselling

    Based on general trends, any candidate who has not secured any seat or even those who secured a seat in the previous rounds of WBJEE seat allotment are eligible for the decentralised round. Candidates are to register fresh for this phase. The eligibility criteria is same as that of general round of WBJEE counselling. They must have cleared WBJEE exam or JEE Main or class 10+2 merit.

    • Category-I: WBJEE Rank holders domiciled in West Bengal, eligible for admission in reserved category seats offered by the Government/Private Engineering/Pharmacy Colleges and Universities/Institutions (including GKCIET, Malda).
    • Category-II: West Bengal domiciled candidates eligible on the basis of WBJEE Rank only, eligible for admission to Government Engineering/Pharmacy Colleges/Universities (as per Government policy).
    • Category-III: WBJEE Rank holders not domiciled in West Bengal, eligible for admission to State Universities/University Departments including GKCIET, Malda (subject to applicable norms), and Private/Self-Financing Engineering/Pharmacy Institutions.
    • Category-IV: JEE(Main) Rank holders, eligible for admission to Institutes that offered JEE(Main) seats.
    • Category-V: Candidates with percentage of marks in 10+2 examination as per AICTE Guidelines will be eligible for admission to Private/Self-Financing Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy Institutions and such other institutions as may be permitted by the competent authority

    Who can Take Part in WBJEE Decentralised Counselling?

    • Those who were allotted seats and have taken admission

    • Those who were allotted seats in previous rounds but have nto taken admission.

    • Those who were not allocated seats in round 1, 2 or 3

    • Those who did not register for previous rounds

    • All those who have applied for last rounds of WBJEE counselling except those who have exited or withdrawn their admission.
