Each of the above-mentioned State entrance exams has been dealt with in brief below. The list has been segregated in alphabetical order for the simple ease of sorting by candidates who are advised to check the relevant exams before they apply.
AP EAMCET 2018
The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test is popularly known as AP EAMCET is conducted by JNTU Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. The entrance exam is held for the admissions to the undergraduate engineering courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Admissions to around 1,53,150 seats are through AP EAMCET 2018.

The Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2018 will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education Assam (DTE) in first week of June. In 2017, DTE Assam has taken the charge of the entrance exam from Dibrugarh University which was earlier the conducting body for the state level entrance exam. Through Assam CEE 2018, candidates can get admission to undergraduate engineering programme into the state and private colleges of Assam.

Available in online mode. Candidates need to pay Rs 600 as the application fees along with the application form. The Assam CEE application form consists of two section- Form A for the entrance exam and Form B for counselling.

Note: Admissions are not open to other states applicants, therefore they are not eligible for the entrance exam
BCECE 2018 will be conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board (BCECEB) tentatively in third week of June. BCECE 2018 is the entrance exam for the admission into B.Tech programmes offered by the participating engineering colleges of the state. The entrance examination is conducted in two stages.

Note: To be eligible for BCECE 2018 candidate must belong to the state of Bihar.
Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) will conduct the CG PET 2018 tentatively in the second week of May. Through CG PET 2018 candidates can get admission to undergraduate engineering programmes into its participating institutes. Candidates who will qualify JEE Main 2018 will also be eligible to apply for CG PET 2018.

Available in online mode. Application filling process includes- registration, uploading documents and fee payment.
Exam conducting authority has laid down certain eligibility criteria for CG PET 2018. Candidates need to make sure that they meet all the prescribed eligibility criteria of CG PET 2018 to appear for the entrance exam.

Candidates who are seeking admission to undergraduate engineering courses in state engineering colleges in Goa will have to appear and qualify GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) 2018. DTE Goa will conduct GCET 2018 on May 8 & 9 in offline mode. GCET has 5 participating institutes offering B.Tech/B.Arch programmes for around 1300 seats.

The application forms will be available in online mode. The form will consist of two sets- Form A and Form B. Candidates will have to fill Form A to appear for GCET 2018.
Must pass H.S.S.C. with the minimum of 45 % aggregate in compulsory subjects from Goa Board or any examination conducted by CBSE, New Delhi, or an equivalent examination.
Exam Mode- offline. Time Duration- 2 hours for each subject- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Number of question- 75 multiple choice question for each paper. 1 mark will be given for every correct attempt. No negative marking for incorrect answers.
Note: Candidates belonging to other states can also apply for GCET 2018.
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct GUJCET 2018 tentatively in second week of May. Through GUJCET (Gujarat Commont Entrance Test) candidates belonging to the state can get admission in over 112 participating institutes of Gujarat. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will be the admission conducting body who will be responsible for the counselling and seat allotment process.

Should pass 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from Gujarat Secondary and other recognized boar with the minimum of 45%. The reserved category candidates will have to score 40% marks. Read GUJCET 2018 eligibility criteria to get detailed information.

Note: To appear for the exam, candidates should be bonafide residents of Gujarat. If the bonafide residents of Gujarat is residing in the other states of the country, they will be also eligible for GUJCET.
The Himachal Pradesh Technical University will conduct HPCET 2018 in the offline mode. The entrance examination is held annually for B.Tech admissions into the 4 government and 13 private engineering institutes of Himachal Pradesh. Through HPCET 2018, 4350 engineering seats are offered by the participating institutes to the eligible candidates. Apart from the entrance exam, admissions will also be provided on the basis of JEE Main score, HPCET or class 12th marks. The first preference will be given to the JEE (Main) qualified candidates followed by HPCET qualified candidates.

Mode of Exam- offline; Time Duration- 3 hours. The question paper is divided into 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Total questions- 150 2 marks for each correct response and 0.5 or 1/4th marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer
Note: HP CET consist of The All India Quota of 15% of the sanctioned seats for students from any state including Himachal Pradesh. The quota for bonafide students of Himachal Pradesh is 65%. To avail admission, it is important for a candidates to be bonafide residents of HP. Under Beti Hain Anmol Scheme, one seat in each institute is reserved for a single girl child.
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JEECEB) will conduct the JEECE 2018 tentatively in second week of May. From 2017, JCECEB has started to held separate engineering entrance examination for the candidates who seeks admission to B.Tech courses at various engineering institutions in Jharkhand. Through JEECE 2018, candidates will be offered admissions into 15 participating engineering institutes including three Govt funded institutes which consist total of 5411 seats.

Note: Candidates outside Jharkhand cannot apply for JEECE according to the prescribed eligibility criteria.
JKCET 2018 will be conducted by J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) on April 22. The state level entrance examination is a gateway for B.Tech admissions into the six participating engineering institutes. Around 2640 B.Tech seats will be available for admission through JKCET 2018.

Available in online mode. To fill the application form, candidates need to register and enter details like category, date of birth scanned copy of photograph, signature, left thumb-impression, marks sheet, permanent resident certificate and reserved category (if applicable).
Must pass class 12 or any other equivalent exam from a recognized statutory Board/ University with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their subjects. They need to score minimum 50% marks in aggregate in their class 12 or any other equivalent exam in general category and 40% in aggregate in reserved categories.
Mode of Exam- Offline. Divided into 3 parts- Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Total no of questions- 180. Type of questions- multiple choice questions. Time Duration- 3 hours- (Physics & Chemistry- 2 hours, Mathematics – 1 hour).
Note: To appear for JKCET 2018, candidates should be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the KCET 2018 mode on April 18-19. The state level engineering entrance exam will be conducted for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by government and private institutions of Karnatak. The entrance exam will conducted separately for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology on two alternate days.

Available in online mode. The procedure of filling includes registration, entering personal and academic particulars, paying the application fee and submitting it.

Note: Other state candidates will not be able to apply for KCET 2018 as a minimum of seven years inclusive of the qualifying exam in Karnatak is mandatory. However, candidates whose parents are domicile holders of Karnataka or are Govt employees can apply if they meet the specified eligibility guidelines.
Kerala Engineering and Medical (KEAM) will be conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) on April 23 and 24 in offline mode. KEAM 2018 will provide admissions into B.Tech programmes offered by Government colleges, Government Sponsored Self Financing Colleges, and Private Self Financing Colleges, which are located in Kerala.

Available in online mode. Candidates need to submit the print out of the filled application form along with the required documents to the Office of CEE within the given deadline.

DTE Maharashtra will conduct Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2018 in offline mode. MHT CET is held annually for the admissions to the engineering programmes offered by the various participating institutes located in the six regions of Maharashtra – Amaravati, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik and Pune. Through MHT CET 2018, 85% of the seats in the state engineering colleges will be filled by it. While remaining 15% seats in private unaided colleges/institutions of Maharashtra state will be filled on All India Quota basis for which candidates have to appear in JEE Main.

Available in online mode. Candidates need to upload scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format. Submit application form along with the specified application fee.
MHT CET eligibility criteria include conditions related to age, qualifying examination, marks scored in the qualifying exam, number of attempts, etc. It varies from candidates to candidates depending upon their categories, home state and from states outside Maharashtra. Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) will conduct the TJEE on April 25 and 26 in offline mode. Through Tripura JEE (TJEE) 2018 candidates will be eligible for admissions into 4 participating institutes in the state. Based on TJEE 2018 score, around 490 B.Tech seats are available for the eligible candidates.

Candidates can download application form the official website. Need to submit application form in person along with examination fee receipt issued by the SBI and other educational documents.
Must pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum required marks. Candidates who are children of the state and the central government employees are also eligible.
Exam Mode-Offline (OMR - Optical Marks Recognition); Sections- 3; Total of 150 multiple choice questions ( 50 questions in each section); Time Duration- 2 hours; 2 marks for a correct answer. No negative marking.
Note: Candidates from outside Tripura will not be eligible to take up TJEE 2018.
JNTU, Hyderabad will conduct TS EAMCET for the TSCHE - the Telangana State Council for Higher Education. Candidates who will appear and qualify TS EAMCET 2018 will be eligible for admissions into the 320 participating engineering institutes of the state. The entrance exam will be held in over 27 exam centres in Telangana and Hyderabad. There are around 80,121 seats are available for candidates who qualify TS EAMCET 2018.

UPSEE will be conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in offline mode. Through state level engineering entrance examination, candidates can get admission into more than 600 engineering institutes in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who will secure the qualifying cutoff in UPSEE 2018 will be eligible for admissions into around 1.5 lakh undergraduate engineering seats of the state. Other state candidates can also apply for 10% of the private institutional seats of colleges affiliated to AKTU.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will conduct WBJEE 2018 for the admission to B.Tech admissions into the Government as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological institutes of the state. Through WBJEE 2018, candidates will be eligible to get admission into 104 participating institutes.

Should meet the domicile requirements set by the concerned authorities. Other states candidate can apply in private institutes as well as Jadavpur University. Note: Candidates belonging to other states can apply if they fulfill basis eligibility criteria. However, candidates will not be able to take admission in government university expect Jadavpur university. The admissions are open only in private institutes.
