GATE 2026 Two Paper Combinations
For candidates who will register for the upcoming examination, a new set of two-paper combinations will be available. These additional combinations will be offered alongside the options previously available during the regular and extended application windows. Candidates who initially select only one paper will be able add a second paper from these new options without penalty, while candidates with two papers may replace their second paper with one from the newly introduced combinations. Additionally, candidates wishing to add a second paper from the earlier combinations can do so by paying a penalty fee. These changes allow candidates to adjust their exam choices within the specified time frame.

GATE Notification 2026 Syllabus
IIT Guwahati will publish the GATE syllabus 2026 on the official website. The detailed GATE syllabus 2026 PDF download will be available for all 30 subjects online. The GATE exam syllabus includes three major sections viz. General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Core Engineering subjects are included at the graduation level.
A GATE score of around 253 is not enough for top IITs or NITs, but you can still get admission into some private engineering colleges, especially in less competitive branches like Civil or Production.
