GATE Exam Centre Allotment 2026: IIT Guwahati will announce the exam centres allotment for the GATE exam on January 2, 2026. Candidates will be able to check the same on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. They were able to select their preferred GATE exam centre during the GATE 2026 application process, allowing candidates to select up to three exam centres. The authority allots the exam centre for the GATE entrance exam based on the applicants' preferences. The GATE exam centres will be allocated across 200 cities of the eight IIT zonal centres, including IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee. The final GATE exam centre allotment will be released with the GATE 2026 admit card.

First, candidates must visit the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.in 2026.
Now, they must navigate to the ‘Admit card download link on the page.
Once they click on the link, they will be directed to the admit card download page.
Click on the GATE login, and enter your enrolment number and password.
Now click on the download button, and the admit will be downloaded.
The admit card will be downloaded in PDF format.

The authority allowed candidates to make changes in the GATE 2026 exam centres through the GATE application form correction window. Candidates were able to make corrections by logging into the correction window link with their GATE enrolment number and password and by paying an additional fee of Rs 500.
