    GATE 2026 Registration Link: IIT Madras will commence the GATE registration link on August 27, 2026. The official website to check the GATE 2026 registration link is gate2027.iitm.ac.in. It is made mandatory for all candidates to register for the GATE 2027 exam through DigiLocker (mandatory). Check the GATE 2027 eligibility criteria before filling the application form online. Official GATE 2027 login credentials will be created to log into the GOAPS Portal and complete their application. The GATE 2027 exam will be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027. Applicants must complete the GATE 2027 registration by September 27, 2026.

    Where to check GATE 2026 Registration Link?

    Candidates must visit the official website of IIT Madras at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. to check the GATE registration link.     How to Fill GATE 2027 Application Form Online?

    By following the given steps, candidates will be able to register for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. Before registering, make sure to check the eligibility criteria for GATE 2027.

    Common Mistakes to Avoid during GATE 2027 Registration

    While registering for the GATE 2027 exam, candidates must make sure to keep the following points in mind to avoid obstruction.

    • Not entering the correct name: Make sure to enter the name as per their original Class 10 certificate and valid photo ID.

    • Not updating the DigiLocker: Update it by pre-verifying and uploading the latest documents.

    • Incorrect Photo Specification: While uploading the photo, strictly follow teh photo upload instructions and specifications.

    • Using more than one email: While registering, only use one specific email address to avoid form errors or confusion.

    • Candidates are advised not to wait for registration at the very last minute. Begin registration right away when it commences.

    GATE 2027 Application Form Correction Window Details

    GATE application form correction window will open from October 14 to 21, 2026. The correction window is open to make changes in the application form after submission. However, there are only some particulars in the application form that are allowed to be corrected, which include the candidate’s personal, exam-related, and academic/address details. However, particulars such as mobile number, email ID, uploaded photograph, or signature cannot be changed once entered. Follow the steps to use the GATE 2026 Correction Window.

    • Visit the official website of the GOAPS portal and read the instructions carefully.

    • Now, candidates can log in with their GATE enrollment ID, email, and password.

    • Click on the “Application Form Correction / Edit” link.

    • The window will be directed to the application form.

    • Only the accessible particulars will have the edit option.

    • After making the necessary changes, pay the application correction fee.

    • Download and print the corrected version for their records.
