Careers360: NIET has consistently been recognised through national rankings and accreditations. What do these accolades reflect about the institute's commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement?
Dr. Vinod M. Kapse: NIET's national rankings, accreditations, and recognitions are a reflection of its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, institutional quality, and continuous improvement. These accolades are not merely achievements; they validate the institute's sustained efforts to build a robust academic ecosystem that meets national and global benchmarks.
The institute has consistently strengthened its academic framework through outcome-based education, rigorous quality assurance mechanisms, industry-aligned curriculum, and student-centric teaching-learning practices. Regular academic audits, continuous curriculum revision, faculty development initiatives, and the integration of emerging technologies ensure that the institution remains responsive to the evolving needs of higher education and industry.

Through an active Internal Quality Assurance Cell, systematic stakeholder feedback, data-driven decision-making, and adherence to national quality frameworks, the institute continually evaluates and enhances its academic and administrative processes. This commitment ensures that quality is embedded in every aspect of institutional functioning rather than being viewed as a one-time achievement.
These recognitions ultimately reflect the collective dedication of the management, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners in creating a learning environment that promotes excellence, innovation, inclusivity, and social responsibility. They reinforce NIET's vision of preparing competent, ethical, and future-ready professionals while continually striving for higher standards of institutional performance and global relevance.
Careers360 Could you share how the presence of seven academic schools at NIET enhances the overall educational experience and prepares students for diverse career paths?
Dr. Vinod M. Kapse: The establishment of seven academic schools at NIET reflects our commitment to multidisciplinary education, which is a cornerstone of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. By bringing together diverse disciplines under one institutional framework, we provide students with broader learning opportunities, interdisciplinary exposure through Minor Degrees in other disciplines, and the flexibility to pursue their academic and professional aspirations.

Careers360: What initiatives does the institute undertake to prepare students for placements, competitive recruitment processes, and evolving workplace expectations?
Dr. Vinod M. Kapse: At NIET, placement preparation is not viewed as a final-year activity—it is a structured, continuous process that begins early in a student's academic journey. The institute follows a holistic employability model that combines technical excellence, professional skills, and industry exposure to prepare students for competitive recruitment processes and long-term career success.
The Workshop and Lab Cum Class Mode of Learning, introduced from the first year onwards, provides an intensive and interactive learning experience beyond regular classroom teaching. Careers360: As Artificial Intelligence continues to revolutionise the job market, how is NIET Greater Noida adapting its curriculum, infrastructure, and training to prepare students for AI-driven careers?
Dr. Vinod M. Kapse: Artificial Intelligence is transforming every industry, and at NIET Greater Noida, we view this transformation as an opportunity to prepare our students for the careers of tomorrow. Our approach goes beyond introducing AI as a standalone subject—we are embedding AI, data-driven technologies, and digital innovation across academics, research, and industry engagement.
From a curriculum perspective, NIET has aligned its academic programmes with emerging technologies by offering specialised courses and interdisciplinary learning opportunities in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, HPC Data Science, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, and Automation. The curriculum is regularly updated in consultation with industry experts to ensure students acquire skills that are relevant to current and future workforce demands.
To support this learning, the institute has established modern laboratories in collaboration with NTTData, Capgemini, Redhat, Tableau and Wipro etc. NIET also established various Centres of Excellence related to advanced computing facilities, and innovation spaces where students gain hands-on experience with AI tools, cloud platforms, high-performance computing resources, and real-world datasets. Through Lab and Centre of Excellences, students can get hands-on access to advanced NVIDIA H100 servers and pre-configured, cloud-based Kubernetes clusters to accelerate AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning research. The Nest for Coders (NFC) is the official, collaborative coding hub at NIET Greater Noida, designed explicitly to foster peer-to-peer learning. It operates as an active community where students gather to debug, share technical skills, and build innovative software solutions together.
Research and innovation are equally important. NIET actively encourages students and faculty to participate in AI-driven research, interdisciplinary projects, startup incubation, innovation challenges, and intellectual property creation. Through its research ecosystem and incubation support, students are motivated to develop solutions that address real societal and industrial challenges using AI technologies.
Recognising that success in the AI era requires more than technical expertise, NIET also emphasises the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, teamwork, ethical AI practices, and lifelong learning. Students are trained to work effectively alongside intelligent systems while understanding the ethical, legal, and societal implications of AI adoption.
Ultimately, NIET's objective is not only to prepare students for today's AI-enabled jobs but also to equip them with the adaptability, innovation mindset, and multidisciplinary skills required to lead the next wave of technological transformation. By combining academic excellence, industry engagement, research, and experiential learning, the institute is developing graduates who are well-positioned to excel in an AI-driven global economy.

Careers360: What advice would you give to students who are in the process of selecting the right college or university for their higher education journey?
Dr. Vinod M. Kapse: Choosing the right college is one of the most important decisions a student will make, as it shapes not only academic learning but also career opportunities and holistic growth. My advice is to look beyond rankings or infrastructure alone and evaluate the institution holistically.
First, ensure that the college is recognised, accredited, and committed to academic quality. A strong academic framework, experienced faculty, modern curriculum, and a culture of continuous improvement provide the foundation for long-term success.
Second, assess the learning ecosystem. Look for opportunities that extend beyond classroom teaching—industry collaborations, internships, research projects, innovation and incubation centres, global exposure, professional certifications, and experiential learning. These experiences significantly enhance employability and prepare students for real-world challenges.
Third, review the institute's placement record, but also understand how those outcomes are achieved. A good institution invests in skill development, career mentoring, communication training, coding practice, aptitude preparation, and industry interaction throughout the academic journey, rather than focusing only on final-year placements.
It is equally important to consider the campus environment. A college should encourage innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, sports, cultural activities, community engagement, and student well-being. Higher education is about developing as an individual, not just earning a degree.
Students should also think about their own aspirations. Choose an institution that aligns with your interests, offers flexibility to explore emerging disciplines, and provides opportunities to pursue research, higher education, entrepreneurship, or careers in industry, depending on your goals.
Finally, speak to current students, alumni, and faculty members whenever possible. Their experiences often provide valuable insights into the academic culture, support systems, and overall student experience.
At NIET Greater Noida, our endeavour is to provide students with an environment where academic excellence, innovation, industry engagement, research, and holistic development come together. We believe that the right college is one that not only helps students secure their first job but also equips them with the knowledge, skills, values, and adaptability to build a successful and meaningful career throughout their lives.
