TS ECET 2020 - JNTU Hyderabad has extended the last date to fill the application form without late fee till April 20, 2020. However, by paying an additional late fee, the TS ECET application from 2020 can be submitted till April 29. TS ECET 2020 application form along with the official brochure was released on February 24. The TS ECET application form correction window will be made available to all the registered candidates from April 22 to 24, 2020. The authorities will conduct TS ECET 2020 on May 2, 2020 on the behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. TS ECET 2020 is a computer-based entrance test for diploma holders of Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy and for B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Holders for lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E. / B.Tech. courses in both the University and Unaided Private Professional Institutions approved by All India Council for Technical Education. Candidates will be able to apply for TS ECET 2020 in online mode. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of TS ECET 2020 before applying for the exam. TS ECET 2020 hall ticket will be released for all the candidates who will submit the applications before the last date. The authorities will release the result of TS ECET 2020 online in the form of rank cards. Candidates will have to score 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects [Three subjects for B.Sc. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of TS ECET 2020 before applying for the exam. No candidate will be eligible for the final allotment if he/she does not fulfill the minimum TS ECET 2020 eligibility criteria. Candidates must be of Indian nationality
Candidates must be a resident of the State of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology / Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh as equivalent.
Candidates should have passed the 3-year B.Sc. Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology / Pharmacy/ B.Sc
(Mathematics) Degree with at least 45% marks for entry into relevant courses.
However, the minimum percentage is 40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category.
Marks needed to Qualify TS ECET 2020
Candidates have to score 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects [Three subjects for B.Sc. (Mathematics)], i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200 in order to obtain a rank in TS ECET 2020.
There is no minimum marks for SC/ST candidates.
Note: Candidates who have not completed but will complete their diploma before admission will also be eligible for TS ECET 2020.

Step 1: Application Fee Payment - In the first step, candidates have to pay the application fee of TS ECET 2020. Candidates have to enter mandatory details such as name, date of birth, mobile number etc. before the payment of fees. Candidates can pay the application fee either in cash through TS Online Centers or through online mode using credit card/debit card/net banking.

Step 2: Payment Status - In the second step, candidates have to check the status of their payment. For this, candidates have to enter their qualifying exam hall ticket number and mobile number. If the payment was successful, candidates will be able to proceed to fill the application form of TS ECET 2020.
Step 3: Filling of Application Form - In this step, candidates have to enter all the required details of the application form like personal, communication and educational details. Along with these details, candidates will also have to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature as per the specifications prescribed by the authorities.

Step 4: Take a Print Out of Application Form- After the candidate has completely filled and submitted TS ECET 2020 application form, he/she has to take the print out of the form for future reference.

Candidates will be able to download TS ECET 2020 hall ticket by entering their registration number and password. The authorities will release the preliminary answer key of TS ECET 2020 after the conclusion of the exam. After considering the objections, the authorities will release the final answer key of TS ECET 2020. No objections can be made to this answer key.

The authorities will declare the result of TS ECET 2020 in online mode tentatively in the fourth week of May. Candidates will be able to check their results by logging into the result portal with the required credentials. TS ECET 2020 result will be released in the form of rank of the candidates, which will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance test. Candidates will have to score 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects [Three subjects for B.Sc. (Mathematics)], i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200 in order to obtain a rank in TS ECET 2020. However, there is no minimum score for SC/ST candidates.

If in case, the marks secured by two candidates in TS ECET 2020 are the same, then the following tie-breaking rule will be considered to determine the merit/rank of such candidates.
Candidates with higher marks in the engineering subject will be given higher marks.
If a tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be given higher marks.
If a tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given higher marks.
If a tie still persists and candidates have the same marks in all the four subjects, then these candidates will be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank and age will be considered at the time of admission. Candidates older in age will be given priority.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the result of the entrance examination will be invited to participate in the TS ECET 2020 counselling and seat allotment process. The counselling of TS ECET 2020 will be a web-based process and involve the various steps like payment of counselling fee, registration, choice locking, etc.
