Nirma University is the leading Institute of Technology located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and operates under the Nirma Education Research Foundation, which was founded by Dr. Karsanbhai Patel (well-known industrialist & the founder of the Nirma brand) in 1993. The first college was founded in 1994, known as NIT (Nirma Institute of Technology), and then the Institute of Management was founded in 1995. In 2003, the government of Gujarat granted it university status under a special act.

Nirma University is a renowned private institute of technology established in 1995 and spread over 115 acres near Ahmedabad airport, and primarily offers B.Tech programs.
