According to the official notification, the JEE Main 2026 exam for Session 1 will be held from January 21 to 30, while the Session 2 exam will be held from April 2 to 9, 2026. The authority has concluded the session 1 of JEE Main 2026 registration process on November 27, 2025. The authority will allow candidates to apply for both sessions of the JEE Main 2026 exam separately. The dates for the session 1 JEE Main registration windows was announced online. Once candidates submit their application form, they will also be allowed to edit certain details in the application. Hence, candidates should also be aware of the JEE Main 2026 form correction dates. However the session 1 form correction window was closed on December 2, 2025.
NTA will issue the JEE Main 2026 admit card to candidates whose applications have been accepted by the authority. The JEE Main admit card 2026 is expected to be issued in January 2026. Details regarding the JEE Main exam centre, exam date, reporting time and more will be mentioned in the admit card.
NTA has announced the JEE Mains 2026 exam schedule on the official website. The JEE Main exam will be held in 2 sessions, between January 21 to 30 and the other between April 02 to 09, 2026. The JEE Main exam will span over a couple of days with multiple shifts each day; thus, being aware of the exam dates is very important. The exact JEE Main exam date will be mentioned in the admit card of the candidate.
NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 answer key on the official website. The Aadhar card, UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities) & Category Certificate(if applicable) of the candidate must be updated for the year 2026, before applying for the JEE Main 2026 exam. Despite of the prior backlogs, you can appear for JEE Mains in 2026 because you passed class 12; that marks the basic eligibility.
Anyways, this would be regarded as the third JEE Mains attempt, because there's a limit that a candidate can attempt only a limited number of times;
