The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee conducted the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) on February 1, 2, 15 and 16 for 30 papers. The exam was held in dual shifts. The forenoon session was conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm while the afternoon shift was held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The IITs and NITs may have a range between 650 and 750, and this depends on the demand of the specific branch and the number of seats that are available. As for day IIT Bombay (CS), it will take 780 general, 720 OBC-NCL, and 500 SC/ST to prepare for. According to the previous year’s analysis, the expected cutoff for NIT Trichy for Mechanical Engineering Branch is 700 for general category students, 650 for OBC-NCL Students, and 450 for SC/ST students.
