GATE 2026 Cutoff Marks for IIT vs NIT: Candidates will soon be able to check the GATE cutoff marks for IIT vs NIT in 2026. The GATE NIT cutoff 2026 will be uploaded by CCMT on the official website, ccmt.admissions.nic.in. While IITs will publish their institute wise cutoff of GATE 2026. Until then, aspirants are advised to check the previous year GATE cutoff marks for IIT vs NIT. Note that IIT Guwahati will declare the GATE cutoff marks, which will be considered common for both NITs and IITs. Therfore, aspirants are advised to aim for higher marks in GATE exam.

The IITs and NITs may have a range between 650 and 750, and this depends on the demand of the specific branch and the number of seats that are available. As for day IIT Bombay (CS), it will take 780 general, 720 OBC-NCL, and 500 SC/ST to prepare for. According to the previous year’s analysis, the expected cutoff for NIT Trichy for Mechanical Engineering Branch is 700 for general category students, 650 for OBC-NCL Students, and 450 for SC/ST students.
