The AP EAMCET qualifying marks will be evaluated based on candidates' performance in the AP EAMCET exam and their Class 12 marks, specifically the group subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology). The EAPCET committee has deliberated extensively and decided to use the following normalisation procedure.
Normalised Marks of the candidate:
Top Average Global - GMS GMS + x (Marks Obtained by Candidates - SMS) Top Average Session - SMS
Weightage for assigning merit ranks:
To assign merit ranks, 75% of the rank comes from the normalised AP EAPCET marks and 25% from the Intermediate subject marks.
If any subject's normalised score is negative after normalisation, it will be considered as zero for that subject, but the total of the three subjects will still count towards the EAPCET marks.
If a candidate has no qualifying score in AP EAPCET - 2025 and all three subject scores are negative, the total marks will be treated as zero for ranking.
In case of a tie, even negative normalised marks can be used to determine the rank.
On Question asked by student community
For AP EAMCET 2026, the marks are divided among Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for the Engineering stream.
Physics usually has about 40 questions from topics like Mechanics, Electrostatics, Optics, Modern Physics, and Heat and Thermodynamics, giving around 40 marks.
Chemistry also has about 40 questions from Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry, giving around 40 marks.
Mathematics usually has about 80 questions covering Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Vectors, 3D Geometry, and Probability, giving around 80 marks.
So the total marks for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics together are approximately 160. The exact distribution may change slightly in 2026, but the weightage is expected to be similar to previous years.

The overall cutoff for PVPSIT's B.Tech programs in 2025 was 154879, but for CSE specifically, the 2024 cutoff was 7970. Your rank is far above this.
Therefore, you should prepare to consider other colleges or less competitive branches at PVP Siddhartha.
See the PVPSIT CUTOFF to explore branches within range of your rank.
Hope it helps!!
Hello Aspirant,
You can get B Pharmacy admissions with 55,000 rank in AP EAMCET based upon that college’s cutoff, category reservations and seat availability. Since you are in BC category and female candidates will get some reservation benefits, you may be able to get a chance in private/self financed colleges that do not go to the top ranks. In terms of reputable government colleges/ or reputed colleges, the cutoff ranking could be higher.
Hello, AP EAMCET 2024 BIPC cutoffs vary by college, category, and seat demand.
