Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2026

• Candidates are admitted in the UG degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy through WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination).

• All engineering and technology programmes consist of eight semesters, except the Architecture programme, which consists of ten semesters.

• Candidates must pass the 12th class in the science stream from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent exam from a recognised Board/Council.

• Candidates must have passing marks in the compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

• At least 60 per cent marks in the PCM as an aggregate. Relaxation is given for the reserved candidates. 45 per cent marks in PCM for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates.

• 60 per cent marks in Mathematics are mandatory for the general category candidates. 45 per cent marks in Mathematics is mandatory for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates.

• Must have passing marks in the English subject (at least 30 per cent marks) for all the categories of candidates.

Reservation of Seats: Domicile Quota
