Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal and Odisha recorded the highest enrolment rates in engineering for 2024-25, with the all-India rate reaching 75%, driven largely by computer science and allied courses. Experts warn that artificial intelligence may reduce job opportunities in these fields over the next two-three years, potentially affecting future enrolments. Core branches like civil and mechanical engineering continue to see lower intake due to limited job prospects and lower salaries compared to IT and computer science roles.
Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 must give proper time for revision as it is the key to crack any exam. Candidates can refer to the following tips to prepare a perfect strategy on how to revise for JEE Main 2026:
Make a timetable for revision- Candidates should first prepare a new timetable of 15 days for revision. Candidates may divide 5 days for each subject. It must be kept in mind that the timetable for the JEE Main 15-day revision plan has to be religiously followed otherwise it won't be possible to revise everything. Now, it also depends on the candidates what they want to revise. It means whether they want to revise everything or the entire syllabus. This will entirely depend on the candidates if they wish they can take up important topics from each subject and revise them thoroughly based on their JEE Main 15-day revision plan.
Refer to the handy notes- Candidates can refer to the handy notes prepared during the preparation of the exam. The handy notes will help the candidates in quick revision of the syllabus. Candidates can also add topics if they have learned something new.

Hello aspirant,
Make a combined study plan that allots time for all subjects, with an emphasis on the overlapping themes of chemistry and physics, to get ready for both JEE Main and NEET. To comprehend the various patterns of the two exams and enhance time management, master the NCERT textbooks first, then apply the same method of completing last year's papers and taking practice exams.

Hello aspirant,
The first step in preparing for JEE 2027 is to familiarize yourself with the physics, chemistry, and math syllabus and exam format. Using NCERT and common reference materials, concentrate on solidifying your Class 11 topics. Practice frequently and complete 20–30 multiple-choice questions per day. Finish the Class 12 curriculum by 2025, then start taking chapter-by-chapter and practice exams. Starting in 2026, make extensive revisions, work through papers from prior years, and concentrate on strengthening your weak points. Take full-length mocks within the last six months and evaluate your performance. For optimum outcomes, balance school, coaching, and self-study, be consistent, and revise every day.
