NTA JEE Mains 2026 January Registration: NTA will conclude the JEE Main 2026 January registration today. Candidates can find the NTA JEE Mains registration 2026 session 1 link on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEEE Main 2026 application form is available in online mode only. Candidates must have completed the 12th class in 2024/2025 or appear in 2026 as per the JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria. The authority has scheduled the JEE Main exam from January 21 to 30, 2026, for Session 1. And the JEE Main 2026 will be conducted from April 2 to 9, 2026, for Session 2. The JEE Main January session 2026 form correction will be available from December 1 to 2, 2025. The authority will announce the JEE Main 2026 admit card dates soon online.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the JEE Mains 2026 correction facility from December 1. Candidates will be given only one chance to make corrections to their JEE Mains 2026 application form . 

The particulars in the application form that will be allowed to change includes candidates’ or father’s or mother’s name, class 10 and 12 details, state code of eligibility, medium of the examination, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category or PwD, signature and Aadhaar details. Whereas, candidates will not be allowed to change their mobile number, email address, address (permanent and present), emergency contact details, and photograph of details.

JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Application

NTA released certain requirements for JEE Main aspirants, which they must fulfil to fill in the NTA JEE Main application form 2026. It must be noted that candidates who do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements are exempted from applying for the exam. The JEE Main eligibility criteria are verified via the documents submitted by the candidates during the application process. To be eligible for the JEE Main 2026 exam, candidates must have

  • Candidates who pass Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 and even appear for 2026 are eligible to fill out the application form.

  • Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12, along with any subject from Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.

  • There is no requirement for a minimum percentage of marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Mains 2026. However, for admission in IITs and NITs, candidates need to have a minimum of 75 per cent in class 12.

  • There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Mains 2026.

NTA JEE Mains 2026 January Registration Process

Candidates who have completed the above-mentioned JEE Main eligibility can fill out the online JEE Main 2026 application form. Candidates will find the application form on the official website of NTA. In the meantime, they can practise the application process via the dummy registration link provided by the authority. Here is the overall procedure that candidates must follow to complete the JEE Main 2026 application process.

  • Candidates are first required to visit the official website of NTA, jeemain.nta.nic.In.

  • Click on the registration link available on the website.

  • Now, create a password and choose a security question to generate an application number.

  • Candidates can now log in with the system-generated application number and pre-created password to fill out the application form with all the required information.

  • Now upload all the necessary documents and photos.

  • To complete the application, candidates must pay the requisite examination fees.

  • After successful completion of the above steps, candidates will be able to print the confirmation page.

Yes, as a diploma holder you can apply for lateral entry into the second year of a BTech degree at other state and private colleges, which often doesn't require the JEE Main exam. But you can't get admission into institutes like NITs, IITs, or CFTIs.
