    GATE Merit List 2026: Rank List, Scorecard, Cut-off, Toppers List

    GATE merit list 2026: IIT Guwahati does not publish an official GATE 2026 merit list online. Instead of the merit list a GATE toppers list 2026 will be published. Candidates can check the unofficial GATE 2026 toppers list here. The official GATE toppers list 2026 will comprise of the toppers' names(AIR 1) for all 30 papers. The results of the GATE exam consist of scores, All India Rank, and category-wise qualifying marks. The authority released the GATE results on March 19, 2026.     The authority will not release any GATE merit list. However, it does release the GATE toppers list 2026. The authority will activate the GATE toppers list link on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The toppers list for GATE 2026 will be released on March 19, 2026. It will be released along with the results. The toppers' list will be published for all 30 papers along with their results.

    Every PSU has different cut-off marks and eligibility. Hence, it is suggested to apply for PSU after checking the eligibility. Also, they do not reveal the marks of the finally selected candidates. So, wait for the final merit list.

    Yes. You can. GATE eligibility specifies that students in their 3rd year and above can appear for the exam. Since the results are valid for 3 years, you can use the same for your admissions.

    If you score 500 marks in GATE2026, your chances of getting into good engineering colleges (especially NITs, IIITs and some older IITs) are strong for most disciplines, while top branches like CSE/EEE/ECE at older IITs may still require higher ranks. Your GATE AllIndia Rank (AIR) with 500 marks usually falls
