• Use “New Registration” or “DigiLocker” to generate candidate’s unique enrolment ID or password.

• Enter required details such as candidate’s name, mobile number, email ID and other important information.

• Select one paper or two paper form permitted combinations

• Students have to provide six GATE 2027 exam city from their choices.

• After completing the form, process with available online payment option and pay the required fee.

How to Register on DigiLocker for GATE 2027?

As per the official IIT Madras notification, DigiLocker is mandatory for GATE 2027 registration process. Candidates who want to apply for GATE 2027 exam must register through DigiLocker. Candidates can follow these basic steps:

1. Open DigiLocker platform and create account using the Login/register button if candidate does not have one. The official DigiLocker website is digilocker.gov.in.

GATE 2027 Registration Fees

The authority has announced the GATE registration fees 2027 on the official website. As per the official notice, here are the details- the GATE application fee for general category for male candidates is INR 2,000, and for female candidates and students belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories, the registration fee is INR 1,000. Applicants have to submit this required fee through the available payment mode like UPI, debit card, credit card, NetBanking, and E-wallet while applying for the GATE 2027 application form.

GATE 2027 Registration- Important Aspects

Eligibility for GATE 2027

IIT Madras has announced the GATE 2027 eligibility criteria on its respective portal. Aspirant are required to meet the eligibility criteria for GATE 2027 exam.

• Candidates currently studying in the third year or higher of an eligible undergraduate programme can appear for GATE 2027.

• Students who have already completed an approved degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts or Humanities are also eligible.

• There is no age limit for GATE 2027 and there is no restriction on the number of attempts.

• The eligibility also covers several programmes such as BE/BTech/BPharm, BArch, BSc (Research)/BS, Pharm D and certain postgraduate and integrated programmes, subject to the conditions mentioned by authority .

GATE 2027 Two Paper Combination

Candidates can apply for one or two GATE papers as per the official brochure. However, students choosing two papers must select the second paper from the combinations permitted by the authority.
