As per the official IIT Madras notification, DigiLocker is mandatory for GATE 2027 registration process. Candidates who want to apply for GATE 2027 exam must register through DigiLocker. Candidates can follow these basic steps:

1. Open DigiLocker platform and create account using the Login/register button if candidate does not have one. The official DigiLocker website is digilocker.gov.in.

2. Complete required verification using the asked details such as - Mobile number or Adhar number..

3. Enter OTP that will be sent through the Andhar linked mobile number.

4. Check carefully that the name and date of birth or other details are correct.

Gate 2027 Registration Fees

The authority has announced the GATE registration fee 2027 on the official website. As per the official notice, the GATE application fee for general category for male candidate is INR 2,000, and for female candidate and students belonging to SC, ST and PWD category the registration fee is INR 1,000. Eligibility for GATE 2027

IIT Madras has announced the GATE 2027 eligibility criteria on its respective portal. Aspirant are required to meet the eligibility criteria for GATE 2027 exam.

• Candidates currently studying in the third year or higher of an eligible undergraduate programme can appear for GATE 2027.

• Students who have already completed an approved degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts or Humanities are also eligible.

• There is no age limit for GATE 2027 and there is no restriction on the number of attempts.

• The eligibility also covers several programmes such as BE/BTech/BPharm, BArch, BSc (Research)/BS, Pharm D and certain postgraduate and integrated programmes, subject to the conditions mentioned by authority .
