Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?

Ritika: My name is Ritika Sharma, and I am from Karnal, a beautiful city close to Panipat. Choosing Geeta University has been one of the best decisions for my career. The diverse student body here makes it a vibrant, welcoming place where I’ve made friends from across the country and beyond. The environment is very encouraging, and it motivates me to aim high. Being close to home yet getting a global experience has made my journey here both comfortable and inspiring.

Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

Ritika: I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science at Geeta University and I’m in my second year. The program is well-structured and industry-integrated, helping students like me stay updated with the latest technology and trends. The flexible curriculum lets us pick electives based on our interests. My course covers everything from programming to cloud computing and AI. With access to top faculty and lab resources, I am gaining both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience that is crucial in today’s competitive job market.

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

Ritika: In the beginning, I was a bit nervous stepping into a new academic environment. But the university provided excellent orientation sessions, and the faculty members were approachable and always ready to help. Seniors also played a big role in making me feel welcome. Within a few weeks, I had already made friends and gotten comfortable with the routine. The friendly culture and continuous support system helped me overcome the initial jitters and quickly adapt to life at Geeta University.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

Ritika: Geeta University promotes overall development through numerous student clubs and extracurricular activities. We have dance, music, drama, debate, photography, sports, and tech clubs. I am actively involved in the Dance Club and Debate Society. These clubs not only enhance our skills but also provide exposure through inter-college competitions and workshops. There are also various events like youth fests and cultural nights which bring all students together to celebrate and learn. Such platforms make campus life vibrant and truly enriching.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Ritika: A typical day at Geeta University starts early with a refreshing morning walk around the green campus, followed by breakfast in the hostel mess. Classes begin around 9 AM, where we engage in lectures and practical labs. Afternoons often involve project work or club activities. Evenings are for sports or relaxation in the common areas. After dinner, we gather for group studies or participate in cultural events. There’s a good balance between academics and recreation. This routine helps us stay productive and mentally fresh.

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Ritika: The faculty-student ratio at GU is quite favorable, which ensures that each student gets ample attention and mentorship. The faculty is very approachable and committed to our academic growth. They go beyond classroom teaching by helping us with projects, internships, and even career guidance. The bond is not formal—it feels like a learning partnership. Regular interactions, feedback sessions, and one-on-one mentorships make the environment supportive and student-centric. It creates a healthy academic culture where students feel respected and valued.

Careers360: What all facilities do you have in the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Ritika: Geeta University offers top-notch infrastructure—Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, advanced labs, a massive library, cafeterias, sports arenas, hostel accommodations, a medical center, and 24x7 security. What I love the most is the passion-based learning programs and technical training hubs like Geeta Finishing School. The freedom to design our degree and explore open electives like dance, photography, or digital marketing is truly unique. This flexibility, along with world-class certifications, prepares us for global opportunities beyond conventional academics.

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Ritika: The hostels at GU are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. I stay in a non-AC triple-sharing room, and it feels like home. The housekeeping staff ensures cleanliness and hygiene are maintained daily. Each floor has RO water, common study rooms, and clean washrooms. Wardens are friendly and help resolve any issues promptly. There’s also good security and CCTV surveillance. The hostel mess serves a variety of meals that are both nutritious and tasty. Overall, the hostel life is secure, friendly, and convenient.

Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Ritika: Yes, GU has an in-house medical care center available round the clock for students and staff. The medical team handles regular checkups, minor injuries, and emergency situations. In case of serious issues, the university has tie-ups with nearby hospitals, and transportation is provided immediately. There’s also provision for first aid during sports and events. This reliable setup provides a great sense of security. Knowing that help is available within campus whenever needed allows us to focus better on our academics.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?

Ritika: Balancing everything is challenging but possible thanks to the structured academic schedule at GU. The university promotes time management and planning. Assignments and project deadlines are announced well in advance. We’re encouraged to use weekends or evenings for extracurricular activities. Regular workshops on productivity and mentoring by faculty also help. Study groups and peer learning are common here. Since our passion programs and skill modules are integrated into the curriculum, we’re able to pursue our interests without disrupting academics.

Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?

Ritika: Clubs and societies at GU play a vital role in student development. From tech groups and entrepreneurship cells to cultural clubs and sports teams—there’s something for everyone. I’m part of the Debate Club and Fitness Club, which help me grow personally and professionally. These platforms improve communication, leadership, and team-building skills. They also organize college fests, national-level contests, and outreach activities. Such engagement complements academics and creates a vibrant campus culture that fosters holistic growth.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Ritika: Yes, GU publishes newsletters and online updates featuring events, student achievements, academic milestones, and campus news. These are accessible through the university portal and social media channels. Students contribute articles, photography, and design inputs. There are also department-wise magazines and research journals which highlight technical papers, case studies, and innovations by students and faculty. This allows us to stay informed and engaged with what’s happening across the university, and also gives us an opportunity to showcase our talents.

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

Ritika: On campus, the cafeteria and open-air seating areas are the most popular hangouts. We often gather there between classes or during club breaks. The sports ground and amphitheatre also draw crowds during evenings and events. Off-campus, Panipat’s malls, cafes, and historical spots like Kabuli Bagh and Devi Temple are popular among students. Weekend trips to nearby cities like Karnal and Kurukshetra are also common. The campus location is perfect for students to explore and relax without going too far.

Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at campus?

Ritika: Leisure time at GU is always engaging. I usually spend it attending music or dance practice, participating in club meets, or relaxing with friends in common areas. Sometimes, I visit the library to explore non-academic books or watch short documentaries in the AV rooms. Evening sports like badminton and cricket are also great stress-busters. The environment is peaceful, yet lively, making it perfect to unwind and recharge. There’s a good balance of study and fun that keeps our morale high.

Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?

Ritika: Yes, Geeta University has an active presence on Facebook and Instagram where students share achievements, campus events, and creative content. There are student-run pages and groups for sharing memes, motivational posts, and campus stories. The official blog features student testimonials, festival coverage, and updates about GU’s activities. It’s a fun and interactive platform that allows us to connect, express, and stay informed. These online spaces enhance the sense of community and make campus life more relatable.

Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

Ritika: Geeta University attracts top companies like Infosys, Amazon, Wipro, Capgemini, and Deloitte. Around 90% of eligible students get placed annually, and some even secure international offers. The highest package reached INR 40 LPA recently, and the average is about INR 4.39 LPA. The placement process includes resume workshops, mock interviews, and skill-building through the Geeta Finishing School. With technical hubs and certification tracks, students are industry-ready. Recruiters appreciate GU’s talent pool for their confidence, training, and technical knowledge.
