Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested or you switched?

Gurpreet: I pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science from Geeta University and I’m currently working as a Data Analyst at a multinational firm. I have remained in the same domain I studied, thanks to the practical exposure and certifications I received during my time at GU. Courses in data visualization, advanced Excel, and Python gave me a strong foundation and real-world skills that aligned perfectly with my career goals.

Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?

Gurpreet: After graduating from Geeta University, I joined a startup as a junior analyst through campus placement. Within two years, I moved to a larger organization where I now handle data interpretation for business intelligence solutions. The progression was swift because GU had already prepared me with industry-level tools and internship experience. The skill enhancement modules and placement support made the transition from college to corporate smooth.

Careers360: Is the Industry work different from what you learnt at Geeta University?

Gurpreet: Not drastically. What sets GU apart is its emphasis on industry-ready training through the Geeta Technical Hub and certification tracks with partners like Microsoft, Cisco, and AWS. The real-time projects, hands-on labs, and coding platforms at GU simulate industry environments closely. While the corporate world is fast-paced, GU’s curriculum and placement trainings ensured that I wasn’t caught off-guard professionally.

Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?

Gurpreet: My time at Geeta University was transformative. Professionally, I gained cutting-edge technical skills, certifications, and problem-solving abilities. Personally, I grew through personality development modules, communication training, and cultural events. The blend of academics, life skills, and a vibrant campus life helped me become confident, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent—traits that continue to benefit me every day in the workplace and in life.

Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined Geeta University?

Gurpreet: Initially, I was looking for a college that offered both strong academics and real-world readiness. GU’s emphasis on industry linkages, the flexibility to design your own degree, and global certification opportunities stood out. I also appreciated the multi-cultural environment and the Geeta Finishing School’s role in grooming students. From the start, I felt I made the right decision by choosing Geeta University.

Careers360: You must have spent a memorable time at your college. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.

Gurpreet: Absolutely! I miss the campus vibe, especially our project sessions at the Geeta Technical Hub, evening cricket matches, and cultural fests like the TechnoFest and Youth Carnival. I fondly remember late-night hostel discussions, mentorship sessions with faculty, and the celebratory atmosphere after completing major projects. GU gave me lifelong friends and countless memories that I’ll always cherish.

Careers360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.

Gurpreet: My typical day began with morning classes followed by lab work or project discussions. Afternoons often involved club activities—especially the tech club and debating society. In the evenings, I participated in sports or music practice as part of the passion programs. Weekends were either for completing assignments or enjoying open mics and fest rehearsals. GU’s campus was always buzzing with energy and creativity.

Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?

Gurpreet: I was actively involved in the Debate Club, Techno Coders team, and participated in GFS’s personality workshops. These activities honed my public speaking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. I also explored photography and attended hackathons. Such diverse engagements taught me time management, built my confidence, and gave me a well-rounded personality that helps me even today in team dynamics and client interactions.

Careers360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements and what was the role of the institute in it?

Gurpreet: GU ensured that we stayed aligned with industry trends through expert talks, certification courses, and workshops. The Geeta Finishing School helped us develop soft skills while the Technical Hub focused on competitive coding and practical simulations. MOU collaborations with global universities exposed us to international standards. Career counseling and placement drives kept us industry-informed and career-focused throughout the journey.

Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of this top College. What is the best part of Geeta University from a student's perspective?
