JUCEM 2025 - Jadavpur University conducts an entrance examination for admission to 5-year undergraduate (evening) engineering programmes. The authority will release the JUCEM 2025 information brochure on the official website, jucem.formflix.com. Earlier, the JUCEM exam was named JEEDEC, the Joint Entrance Examination for Degree Evening Courses. JUCEM 2025 is a state-level entrance exam conducted once a year. The JUCEM exam is expected to be held in September 2025. The authority will release the JUCEM application form 2025 tentatively in August 2025. Aspirants must check the JUCEM 2025 eligibility criteria.

  • JEEDEC (Joint Entrance Examination for Degree Evening Courses) has been renamed to JUCEM.

About JUCEM Exam

JUCEM exam, earlier known as JEEDEC is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. The exam is conducted once a year and is held to offer admission to eligible candidates in five-year evening B.E/B.Tech degree courses offered by Jadavpur University.

To be eligible for JEEDEC, candidates must have passed a diploma in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy with at least 60% marks or a B.Sc degree with Mathematics as a subject with at least 60% marks. The upper age limit for the candidates is 27 years as of 1st July of the year of admission.

Candidates who wish to appear for the JUCEM exam must check the eligibility criteria. Candidates who fulfil the JUCEM eligibility criteria will be able to apply for the exam. The authority will release the JUCEM 2025 eligibility criteria on the official website jucem.formflix.com. The eligibility criteria for JUCEM is as follows:

  • As per the JUCEM eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed the Diploma examination in the same branch to which they are applying for admission from a UGC recognized Indian University or Government/Statutory Body with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point in aggregate for the general category and 45% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates.
  • In case the final result is published in the grade point system only, the candidates must convert the same into equivalent percentage marks using either the conversion formula of the concerned board/university (if available) or the AICTE advised formula. The formula for conversion of grade point to percentage marks is as follows:

  • Percentage marks = (Grade Point – 0.75) x 10 (when Grade Point is in a scale of 10)

  • If the grade point is not in a scale of 10, the obtained grade point must be converted to a grade point in a scale of 10 on a pro rata basis.

  • Final-year students or appearing candidates are not eligible for JUCEM.

  • Applicants must have a minimum of one year working experience after completion of the qualifying diploma examination. The candidate must be currently engaged as a working professional.

How to fill JUCEM Application Form 2025?

Step 1: Registration

Visit the official website and click on the 'New Registration' link. Fill in the required details like name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, and password.

Step 2: Filling of Application Form

Fill in the application form with your personal and academic details, communication details, and other necessary information.

Step 3: Upload Scanned Images

Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature as per the prescribed format and size. Scanned copies of the following documents (150 dpi colour in pdf format) are to be uploaded along with the application. The maximum size of the uploaded file should not exceed 100 KB. In case any such is of multiple pages the same should be scanned as a single pdf

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee

Pay the application fee through the available payment options like sbi i collect portal.

Step 5: Submission of Application Form

Verify all the details and submit the application form. Take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.

JUCEM Application Fees

All applicants for admission to UG (Evening) Engineering programs at Jadavpur University are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- (five hundred only) at the time of application. The payment must be made online through the SBI iCollect portal and must be completed by will be released on the official website. Please note that if the application fee is not paid, the application will be rejected. It is mandatory for all applicants to pay the fee in order to complete the application process.
