Why are Two Sessions Conducted in the JEE Mains?

NTA conducts the JEE Main exam in two sessions to relieve candidates of the stress of giving such an important exam. Have a question related to JEE Main ?
The school claims that it has not CBSE registration number yet and will be receiving it only around 28th of November but JEE registration closes on 27th of November. So what has to be filled for the registration number?

Hello,

If your school has not yet received the CBSE registration number , you should not leave the field blank. In such cases, you can do the following:

  • Write “Awaited” or “Applied For” in the registration number field (if the form allows text).

  • If the form accepts only numbers, you can enter “0000000” or a similar dummy number (as per instructions given in the JEE form or your school’s guidance).

  • Inform your school to give you a short written note or letter stating that your CBSE registration number will be issued after 28th November. You can keep that for reference in case NTA asks later.

Once your school gets the official registration number, it can be updated or verified during the correction window or at the time of document verification.

In short, don’t delay the JEE registration . fill “Awaited” or “Applied For” and proceed.

hey can anyone pls tell me what percentile in jee mains would I need to get admission in cbit,jntuh or vnr vjiet aiml branch. I am from hyderbad and I do have an ews certificate as well as bce state certificate

Hello,

For admission to CBIT, JNTUH, or VNR VJIET (AI/ML branch) through JEE Main, the required percentile varies every year, but based on previous trends:

  • CBIT (AI/ML): Around 95–97 percentile for EWS/BCE candidates.

  • VNR VJIET (AI/ML): Around 96–98 percentile.

  • JNTUH (AI/ML): One of the toughest—usually 98+ percentile even with EWS/BCE quota.

Since you’re from Hyderabad and hold both EWS and BCE (state quota), your chances improve slightly in CBIT and VNR. Try aiming for 98 percentile or above to be on the safe side.

Jee mains 2026 me kya calculator use hoga ki nahi

For JEE Main 2026, calculators will not be allowed in the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that no physical or virtual calculator will be provided. Earlier, there was confusion because of a typing mistake in the information bulletin, but NTA has now clearly said that students have to do all the calculations manually during the exam.
