KEAM Result 2018 - CEE Kerala will announce the KEAM 2018 result in online mode on May. 25, 2018. Candidates who have appeared in the entrance test have to log in to the result portal to check the results of KEAM 2018 to know their scores. Candidates can check KEAM result 2018 using their application number and password.The KEAM 2018 rank list will be announced on June 20, 2018. The ranks will be calculated on the basis of the class XII scores and the KEAM 2018 scores. Candidates will be able to know the scores they have obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with the help of the KEAM 2018 result. Paper 1 of KEAM will be conducted on April 23 and Paper 2 will be held on April 24, 2018. Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks as specified by CEE Kerala will qualify and be included in the KEAM 2018 rank list. Such candidates will be called for the counselling of KEAM on the basis of their ranks. Around 59,000 seats will be available for the undergraduate engineering aspirants in 365 institutes in the Kerala through KEAM. To access the KEAM 2018 result, the candidates will have to submit their application number and password.

What is minimum Qualifying Marks needed for inclusion in KEAM 2018 Rank List?
To qualify in the entrance exam and be included in the rank list of KEAM 2018, the candidate needs to secure at least 10 marks in each paper - Paper I and Paper II. Candidates who don't meet the prescribed minimum marks will not be included in the rank list, and by extension no longer be considered for KEAM 2018 seat allotment. A total of 90806 candidates appeared in the entrance exam last time, out of which 72440 qualified and were listed in the KEAM 2018 rank list.
Exemption for SC/ST Candidates: There is no minimum marks for candidates belonging to these categories. However, they will have to answer at least one question in each paper, or else they will be disqualified.
KEAM rank list 2018:
The KEAM 2018 result will carry marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam (combined score of Paper I and Paper II). Candidates who qualify KEAM 2018 have to submit their 12th standard qualifying examination marks or equivalent for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology. These marks will be used to prepare the rank list of KEAM 2018 where equal weightage will be given to marks obtained in KEAM 2018 (Paper I and Paper II) and 12th standard qualifying examination marks. A standardization procedure will be followed by the authorities to prepare the rank list.
The rank list of KEAM 2018 will include the list of qualified candidates in the order of merit. Candidates who are placed higher in the KEAM 2018 rank list will be given prefence during counselling.
Note: Candidates who are listed in the KEAM 2018 engineering rank list will not be considered for admission to B.Arch course, as a separate rank list would be prepared for the course.
KEAM 2018 Tie Breaking Rule
If two or more candidates secure the same number of marks, the tie will be decided in the following order of preference:
The candidate with higher marks in KEAM 2018 will be placed higher
The candidate obtaining higher marks in Phyics will be ranked higher
If there is still a deadlock, marks obtained by the candidate in Mathematics in qualifiying exam will be considered, with the one having higher marks ranked higher.
In the unlikely circumstance of a tie at this stage, the candidate who is older in age will be placed higher

KEAM Cutoff 2018
The concerned authorities will publish cutoff of KEAM 2018 after the end of each round of counselling. In the released cutoff, minimum marks required for admissions in participating institutes will be listed. KEAM 2018 cutoff will consist of opening and closing ranks of the various participating institutes, categories, and branches. Candidates who will meet the determined cutoff will have high chances of being allotted through KEAM 2018.

KEAM Counselling 2018
The counselling of KEAM 2018 will start tentatively from the last week of June 2018. The qualified candidates will have to register themselves online or at the Facilitation Centres (FC). Allotment of seats will be done as per the ranking and selection of the candidates. The candidates, after the allotment of seat, have to report at their allotted institute. They have to confirm their admission by document verification and payment of tuition fees.

Q. Will I be included in the rank list if I fail to score less than 10 marks in a paper?
A. Unless you belong to SC or ST category, you must mandatorily score minimum 10 marks in each paper to qualify in the exam and be included in the rank list. However, if you instead belong to SC and ST candidates, you only need to answer one question in each paper to qualify.
Q. I have not studied Chemistry in 10+2. So, which subject will be used for preparing the KEAM 2018 rank list?
A. If you have not studied Chemistry, then the marks obtained in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or Biology will be considered.
