The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the official notification for Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) recruitment through GATE on the official website opsc.gov.in. The official notification has announced a total of 758 vacancies for Assistant Executive Engineer in Civil and Mechanical Engineering graduates. The OPSC AEEE recruitment registration link will be available from October 22, 2026 to November 11, 2026, till 5 PM. Only candidates who have a valid GATE exam score in Civil and Mechanical Engineering are eligible for the job. The final selection merit is expected to carry 90% weightage for the GATE score and 10% weightage for the interview

The valid years for the GATE exam for recruitment are 2024, 2025 and 2026. Further, candidates must also have cleared the exam in the relevant GATE paper. The Accepted GATE paper for AEE Civil is Civil Engineering (CE), and for AEE Mechanical it is Mechanical Engineering (ME). Other GATE papers are not accepted for selection.

Here is the overall selection process for teh vacancies for Assistant Executive Engineer in Civil and Mechanical Engineering graduates.
Candidates must first submit the online application form on the OPSC official website.
They must submit the application within the notified application window and upload the required GATE scorecard and documents.
OPSC will consider the candidate’s valid GATE score for selection. GATE score in Civil Engineering for AEE Civil and Mechanical Engineering for AEE Mechanical.
Candidate will be shortlisted based on teh GATE score and then called for an interview conducted by OPSC officials.
The authority will then release a final merit list, which is prepared with GATE score and interview marks.
Finalised candidates will have ot produce their original documents for verification to finalise the selection.
