IIT Madras BS Degree admissions for January 2026 batch has been announced. Applications for the January 2026 Qualifier will open on January 1. IIT Madras BS Degree in Data Science and Applications and BS Degree in Electronic systems are open to all candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent irrespective of age or academic background. Candidates can apply for the January 2026 term through the official portal (study.iitm.ac.in/ds/).

IIT Madras BS Degree Admission 2026

Prospective candidates can apply for admission to IIT Madras BS Degree for the batch starting January 2026 once the application form opens on January 1, 2026. IIT Madras BS Degree admissions are made through regular entry and JEE based entry to the Foundation level. Admissions through the regular entry require applicants to go through the Qualifier Process to join the Foundation Level. Candidates qualified to appear for current year's JEE Advanced can directly join the IIT Madras BS degree programme.

Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

Higher Secondary Certificate vocational examination.

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognised Board / University.

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

Candidates eligible for the IIT Madras BS Degree can initiate the admission process by filling in an application form and paying the application fee. If applying through the Regular entry, they need to write the Qualifier Exam. Application will be considered only when, after payment.
