IIT Madras qualifier exam for September 2026 batch is scheduled to be conducted on November 15, 2026. Candidates applying for IIT Madras BS degree admission are required to clear the qualifier exam with a valid score. The IIT Madras BS Degree Qualifier Exam 2026 allows candidates, who have not appeared for the JEE exam, to get admission to the Foundation Level of the programme.

The Qualifier Phase Week 1 for the IIT Madras Qualifier Exam 1-1 for September 2026 Session will be started from October 2, 2026. To appear for the qualifier exam, candidates have to prepare for four weeks of coursework based on lecture videos, assignments, and live sessions and at the end of the four weeks, the IIT Madras qualifier exam will be conducted.

Candidates applying for IIT Madras BS Degree in Data Science and Applications, Electronic Systems, Management and Data Science, and Aeronautics and Space Technology through regular entry need to undergo the qualifier process to get admission to the Foundation Level.
