Assam CEE 2019 - Assam Science & Technology University (ASTU) has concluded the round 4 counselling (Final Round) of Assam CEE 2019 for vacant seats in B.Tech course at all the participating institutes. Students who have been allotted a seat need to report to the allotted institute on August 9 with allotment letter and documents. The third round of counselling was conducted on July 29 and 30. The second counselling was held from July 2 to 4 in offline mode at the Assam Engineering Institute, Chandmari, Guwahati. The round 1 of Assam CEE 2019 counselling was conducted in offline mode from June 10 till June 15. The result of Assam CEE 2019 was declared on May 10. Assam CEE 2019 was conducted on April 28 in offline mode across various test centres. Assam CEE 2019 application forms were available till March 30 and students were allowed to pay the Assam CEE 2019 application fee by March 30. Application forms were available in online mode only. Questions in the exam were based on latest Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/NCERT syllabus. The result of Assam CEE 2019 has been declared in online mode on May 10, 2019. The result includes details like the subject-wise and overall marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam and also the qualifying status. Category-wise merit lists will also be prepared by exam authorities based on the marks score by the candidate in the entrance exam for counselling and seat allotment. The eligibility criteria of Assam CEE 2019 are the set of conditions that all candidates need to meet if they are to be considered for admission. Among the important Assam CEE 2019 eligibility criteria that the candidate needs to meet include that of nativity, qualifying exam, and age. Please refer the bullet points below.
Domicile: Only Indian nationals who are permanent residents of Assam can apply.
Qualifying exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in one sitting without any grace marks with physics, chemistry, mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
Marks in qualifying exam: The candidate must score minimum 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics. The minimum aggregate marks for SC and ST candidates are 45% and 40% respectively.
Age limit: The candidate must not be more than 21 years and less than 17 years as on August 1, 2019. There is a relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit for SC and ST candidates.
Character: The candidate must have a good moral character.
Fitness: The candidate is also required to be physically and mentally fit.
Exam authorities has closed the application form of Assam CEE 2019 on March 30. Candidates were allowed to fill the Assam CEE application form in online mode using a valid email id and password. Only correct and verifiable details must be used for filling the form, or else it may be rejected. In fact, after declaration of result, short-listed candidates are required to go through a document verification, only post which will the candidate be considered for admission. Steps to fill Assam CEE 2019 application form
Registration and Filling of the application form: Candidates have to enter valid email id and mobile number, as well as other details like the name to register for the exam. The form will have sections like academic, personal and family details, all of which have to be filled with relevant data. The candidate will also have to pick an exam centre from the available options.
Uploading of documents: The candidate has to next upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed format. The scanned image should be less than 35 Kb while scanned signature should be less than 30 KB.
Payment of application fee: Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 650 in online mode. Online payments can be made using SBI payment gateway.
Submission of application form: Check that all the details are in place before finally submitting the application form.
A key to doing well in an exam is to be familiar with the exam pattern. Take for instance, if the candidates acquaint themselves with the exam pattern of Assam CEE 2019, they will know whether the exam will be online or offline, types of questions asked, marking scheme and more. Assam CEE 2019 Exam Pattern
Exam Mode – The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper based mode (Offline)

Subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Type of Questions – Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will have four answer options, out of which one will be the correct option.
Number of Questions – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will each comprise 40 questions, for a total of 120 questions for the paper
Marking Scheme – Each correct answer carries 4 marks. In case of an incorrect response, 1 mark will be penalized.
Candidates will have to enter their responses on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet, by shading the circle against the answer option using black ball point pen.
The admit card of Assam CEE 2019 has been released by Assam Science & Technology University in online mode on April 16, 2019. Candidates will be able to download the admit card of Assam CEE by logging in using their application number/user-name and password. It is important that candidates check the detailed mentioned on the admit card are correct and legible – in case of any discrepancy, it must be brought to the immediate notice of exam authorities. The Assam CEE 2019 admit card will carry information like the name and address of the exam centre, roll number of the candidate, and also date and time of the exam.

The official Assam CEE 2019 answer key has been released by Assam Science & Technology University. Candidates can also check the unofficial answer key released by the coaching institutes. The answer key of Assam CEE 2019 includes correct answers to the questions asked in the entrance exam and will be available after the conclusion of the exam and before the declaration of result. The candidate can use the Assam CEE answer key to first calculate the number of correct and incorrect attempts, and then probable scores (the official marking scheme should be used for the purpose).
Based on parameters like number of seats sanctioned for a programme, applications received and difficulty level of the exam, authorities will determine programme and category-specific cutoffs for participating institutes. The cutoff is usually the minimum score for which admission is offered, so candidate needs to be ranked equal to or higher than the declared Assam CEE cutoff to have a good chance of admission.
The admission authorities conduct counselling of Assam CEE 2019 in offline mode, with candidates having to report at the counselling venue as per their merit rank. The round 4 counselling was conducted on August 6 and 7 while round 3 counselling was conducted on July 29 and 30. The round 2 counselling was conducted from July 2 to 4, 2019. The 1st round counselling of Assam CEE 2019 was conducted from June 10- 15. All candidates who get short-listed for Assam CEE counselling 2019 need to bring with them the three counselling forms – Form A, Form B, and Form C – duly filled along with other relevant documents. In Form A, candidates have to enter their personal, academic and contact details. In Form B, the candidates have to enter their choice of courses in the order of preference, as well as other details like roll and application number. Form C is an admission record sheet. The allotment of seats will be made based on the choices filled and the rank of the candidate, and also the availability of seats.
