Candidates who meet the REAP 2026 eligibility criteria can secure admission to BTech colleges in Rajasthan. It is important to note that the authority conducts the selection process based on the REAP merit list and that there are no entrance exams conducted. Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam with a combination of subjects Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship, Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering).

Medical Fitness

Candidates will have to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of reporting to the allotted institution on the prescribed form certified by a Medical Officer of the Government of Rajasthan as per medical standards.

Domicile

Candidates should qualify the Domicile criteria set by the authorities (Given below).

Qualifying Exam

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination.

OR

Candidates must have passed Diploma in the Vocational stream (NCrF level 4) in the same or allied sector.

REAP 2026 Domicile Criteria and Medical Fitness

Students from Rajasthan state have certain categories listed as per the authority's criteria. Likewise, medical fitness standards for candidates will also be updated officially for admission through REAP 2026. Refer to the list of criteria below for a better understanding:

REAP 2026 Domicile Criteria

The eligibility criteria for domicile status in Rajasthan are categorised as follows:

Category A: A candidate or any of their parents must be a bona fide resident of Rajasthan.

Category B: A candidate must have studied continuously as a regular student in recognized educational institutions in Rajasthan for the preceding three years up to and including the year in which they have passed or appeared in the qualifying examination (i.e. X, XI, and XII classes).

Category C: A candidate must be a son/daughter of either a serving employee or a retired employee of any of the following:

  • Government of Rajasthan (including officers of All India Service borne on the State Cadre of Rajasthan)

  • Statutory Bodies and Corporations formed under the Indian Companies Act, incorporated in Rajasthan

  • Undertakings/Corporations/Improvement Trusts/Municipal Boards/Panchayat Samities / Co-operative Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan.

Additionally, a candidate who is a son/daughter of an employee of any of the following bodies will also be considered under Category C if they have put in at least 3 years of service on the date of submission of the application:

  • Government Universities in Rajasthan

  • Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan

  • Government Engineering Colleges of Rajasthan

Another way a candidate can be considered under Category C is if they are a son/daughter of an employee of Rajasthan origin, serving in Defence/Central Government services/Public Sector undertakings/National Institutes of the Government of India, and have put in at least 3 years of service on the last date for submission of application, irrespective of their place of posting. However, they must provide a certificate for the same.

REAP 2026 Medical Fitness

To gain admission to engineering colleges in Rajasthan through REAP 2026, candidates must meet certain medical standards which are mentioned below-

Height: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 1.5 metres, while female candidates must have a minimum height of 1.4 metres.

Weight: Male candidates must weigh at least 41 kilograms, while female candidates must weigh at least 37 kilograms.

Chest Measurement: Male candidates must have a chest measurement of not less than 69 centimetres with satisfactory limits of expansion and contraction.

Heart & Lungs: Candidates must have no abnormalities in their heart and lungs

Hernia, Hydrocele, Piles, etc.: presence of such or other similar conditions will result in temporary disqualification until rectified.

Vision: Normal vision is required, and any defects must be corrected to a level of 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye. Eyes must also be free from any congenital or other diseases.For admission to Mining Engineering courses, candidates must also be free from colour blindness.

Speech and Hearing: Normal hearing and speech are also necessary.

Finally, a doctor must certify that the candidate is medically fit for the engineering profession.
