    NITs Cutoff for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering - The JoSAA will release the NIT Mechanical Engineering cutoff 2026 on the official website, josaa.nic.in. The NIT BTech cutoff for mechanical engineering will help candidates to know the minimum rank required for admission. The NIT cutoffs 2026 will be available as opening and closing ranks. Admission to NIT B.Tech Mechanical Engineering is based on the rank obtained in the JEE Main exam. Applicants who will have a valid score in JEE Man 2026 exam will be further eligible for the JoSAA counselling. The cutoff percentile for BTech Mechanical Engineering will vary by course and category.

    Factors Determining NITs Cutoff 2026 for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (ME)

    The authority shall consider the following conditions to determine the NITs cutoff for ME 2026.

    • Exam difficulty level.

    • Total number of candidates taking the JEE Main.

    • Number of questions asked in the exam.

    • Candidates opting for ME.

    • Total seats available at the institute.

    • Performance of candidates in the exam ( if candidates perform well overall, it will push up the cutoff).

    • Previous year’s cutoff trend.

    Key Highlights of NITs Cutoff for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (ME)

    • The NITs cutoff 2026 will be available for each candidate category. Also, individual institutes will have separate BTech Mechanical Engineering cutoff marks

    • The authority will announce the official NITs Cutoff for B.Tech ME after completion of the JEE Mains exam.

    • Only candidates who will be meeting the cutoff rank will be eligible for admission and the seat allotment process.

    • Scores below the cutoff rank will not be considered for admission.

    • B.Tech ME cutoff for NITs will be published by coaching institutes as well, but they are unofficial
