    JEE Main 2026: NTA to Increase Exam Cities: National Testing Agency has increased the number of exam cities in 2026 to facilitate the aspirants from remote areas and PwD candidates to attempt the exam, as per the JEE Main information brochure. For the JEE Main 2026 exam, a total of 323 exam cities have been listed. This decision is expected to lead to an increase in the registration numbers for the JEE Mains 2026. The National Testing Agency has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam date on October 19 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to the provided notice, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 will be conducted in two sessions. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted from January 21 to 30, 2026. The dates for NTA JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 are between April 2 and 9, 2026. The JEE Main application form for the January session was held from October 31 to November 27, 2025. The online registration link was updated at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

    NTA JEE Mains 2026 Exam Cities

    In the notice, NTA has informed that the authority has increased the number of exam cities across India so that more JEE Main aspirants can take the exam. This move will help students residing in remote areas. Besides, special attention is being given to PwD and PwBD candidates to offer equal opportunity. Last year, JEE Main exam was held in 284 exam cities in India and 15 cities outside. This year, NTA will allot the nearest JEE Main exam city after evaluating the address mentioned on the Aadhaar Card of the candidates. Hence, It is necessary that Aadhaar card has the updated and correct details, if you want to attend a nearby exam centre. Besides, the exam centres will be alloted on a first-come-first-serve-basis.

    When to Expect JEE Main Application Form 2026?

    The JEE Mains 2026 registration date has been announced as October 31, 2025, by NTA. JEE Mains 2026 registration last date has been announced as November 27, 2025. Candidates will have 27 days to submit their JEE Mains form 2026. Before the opening of JEE Main application portal, candidates are advised to keep the below mentioned documents handy to apply for the exam without any delay and with the correct details.
