The IISER Aptitude test was rated as having a moderately easy difficulty level based on the responses of the candidates who undertook the exam in the past year.
Those who chose PCB in their class 12 found the mathematics section to be somewhat challenging, whereas those who chose PCM in their class 12 found the biology segment to be moderate to challenging. Chemistry and Physics, the common subjects for both stream students, had a moderately easy exam difficulty level.
The chemistry section had questions from both the organic and inorganic. Biology questions were mostly based on the 12th level. Instead of the regular physics numerical questions, this time there were a lot more theoretical questions. The mathematics questions were based on reasoning, relations and functions, sets, etc.
Those who studied thoroughly in classes 11 and 12 found the IISER exam manageable. The IISER entrance exam is designed to assess a student's understanding of fundamental concepts in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, which are typically covered in these classes.
The IISER exam 2022 was held on July 3, 2022. The exam had questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. It was held as a computer-based test. The exam was rated as a moderate-difficult level by the candidates who took the exam. The mathematics section was difficult. The physics and chemistry sections were moderately challenging. Meanwhile, the biology section was the easiest compared to the 4 sections. For answering the physics and mathematics questions, the candidates were required to have an in-depth knowledge of the topics asked. Moreover, the questions from the chemistry subject seemed at par with the JEE Mains level. Another challenge was that the exam was lengthy.

Hello,
If you have uploaded the old EWS certificate (2024–2025) instead of the new one (2025–2026), there is a chance that it may not be accepted, as the IISER notification clearly asks for the valid and updated EWS certificate for the year 2025–2026.
Right now, if the correction window is closed, you won’t be able to change it. But don’t worry too much. Once the results are out and before the counselling starts (before 16 June), there is usually a document verification process. You may get a chance to upload the correct and updated certificate during that time.
Just make sure you get the 2025–2026 EWS certificate ready as soon as possible, so if they allow updates before counselling, you can upload the correct one.
Hope it helps !
Hello,
If you have selected OBC-NCL category and uploaded a Central OBC-NCL certificate , then there is no issue .
IISER accepts Central OBC-NCL certificate , as long as it is valid and issued by a competent authority. Just make sure the certificate is:
Issued within one year from the application date.
Clearly mentions OBC-NCL and your caste is in the central list .
If these points are okay, then your form is fine.
Hope it helps !
Hello aspirant,
Applicants must take either the JEE Main or JEE Advanced exam in order to be considered for admission to the best engineering institutes in India. JEE Advanced and Main are administered by separate bodies. Because the JEE Advanced exam is more difficult than the JEE Main exam, candidates who are prepared for it have an advantage.
