Candidates have to pay for the MHT CET revised fee 2026 after filling out the form. Earlier, students were paying between 800 to 1000 for the Maharashtra CET Entrance Exam, depending on the category. For PCM groups, the fee for General category candidates was 1000, while Reserved (MS Candidates only) paid 800/-. The authority will conduct the MHT CET 2026 exam in two sessions.

CET cell officials stated that the department conducts 19 various entrance examinations to admissions to 72 professional courses in fields like engineering, pharmacy, nursing, education, hotel management among other courses. Over 14 lakh students are going to participate in these tests this year and this figure is likely to increase to 15 lakh the following year. The CET Cell has also pledged to inform a student and the parent of any fee increase in good time before MHT CET 2026. Most applicants wish that the increment should be moderate, owing to the economic burden of the numerous entrance tests.

MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.
