The National Testing Agency employs a normalisation formula to calculate the NTA score in JEE Mains. The NTA normalisation formula is given in the brochure. The following details must be needed to calculate the NTA score.

The raw score equal to or less than the candidate in that shift

The NTA score in JEE Mains is used to determine the JEE Main cutoff. The authority will provide the JEE Mains 2026 cutoff required to qualify for JEE Adv in the form of NTA score only.
