UPTAC Eligibility Criteria- Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognised Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of these subjects - Chemistry, Bio-Technology or Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
UP B.Tech Admission 2025 Application- Interested candidates have to fill JEE Main application form. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will open registration for the direct counselling procedure. Students with valid JEE Main scores will be required to register for UPTAC counselling. The allotment of seats will be on the basis of JEE Main ranks.

50% seats of the total seats (which includes 25% management quota seats) are filled at the institute level first. These 50% seats are filled on the basis of JEE Main ranks and thereafter based on the merit marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
50% of the total seats are filled through HSTES by Haryana residents and All India Open (AIO) category candidates as per the State Reservation Policy.
5% seats (Supernumerary seats) of the total intake across each B.Tech course are offered to Kashmiri Migrants (KM), separately on the basis of inter-se.merit of qualifying examination.
Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Quota seats are supernumerary and upto 30% of the sanctioned seats are offered under this category. These seats are for economically weaker students.

OJEE counselling is the procedure to offer admission to around 38,644 UG Engineering seats across 106 participating colleges.

Punjab B.Tech Admission Eligibility Criteria- Candidates, who have passed 10+2 exam from a board recognized or established by central/state government through a legislation with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of these subjects Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology.
Punjab B.Tech Application Process- Admissions are on the basis of JEE Main scores or class 12 marks. Candidates with JEE Main scores will be given preference for admissions. Vacant seats will be offered to students on the basis of their class 12 marks. For admissions, candidates have to participate in the online counselling procedure for seat allotment. To participate in the counselling, the candidates have to pay the fee, register, fill their choices and get their documents verified.
For admission to UG Engineering programmes offered at 7 constituent colleges and 62 affiliated colleges of I.K. Gujral, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, 15% of the seats are reserved for outside state candidates on the basis of JEE Main, while 85% of the seats are reserved for Punjab candidates.
In GNDEC, Ludhiana (IKGPTU) and BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib (MRSPTU), 70% of the total seats are reserved for rural candidates.
To claim the Sikh Minority Seats, sikh candidates have to take the Sikh Religious Examination (SRE). This test offers the minority seats to candidates at GNDEC, Ludhiana (IKGPTU) and BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib (MRSPTU) only. SRE test is held in online as well as in offline mode.
1% seats across the participating institutes are reserved for Tsunami affected persons, children/grandchildren of original ex-serviceman settlers of Campbell Bay Island or students suffering from Cancer/Thalassemia/AIDS as per Punjab Government rules.

For NSIT and IGDTUW
There is no minimum age requirement for admission to NSIT and IGDTUW.

Yes, you can change your category from General to EWS in the April attempt of JEE Main 2025. Most importantly, the National Testing Agency (NTA) used to provide a correction window for candidates to make changes to their application form, and that includes changing a category.
You will, however require your EWS certificate ready to be submitted by the time the correction window opens. You'll be required to upload a scan copy of the certificate within the correction process. The dates for JEE Main 2025 application form correction are from 26 November to 27 November 2024.
