REAP 2017REAP 2017 - The first round of seat allotment for REAP 2017 has been announced. Candidates can print the seat allotment letter by entering their login id, password and date of birth. The admission committee of REAP 2017 had published a revised schedule for the admission process. The eligible candidates were able to fill the application form till June 30, 2017. The registration and the filling of the options for the spot round has commenced and it will end on August 10, 2017. The Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) is conducted by Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota to give admission to all eligible engineering aspirants into the various participating institutes of the state. The applicants who wish to participate in the admission process must meet the certain eligibility criteria set by the admission committee. Only the eligible applicants will be able to move forward to the seat allotment procedure. The seat allotment procedure of REAP 2017 of the selected applicants to the Government Aided and Private Unaided Technical Institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities) will be held in July - first phase of seat allotment will be held on July 18 & second on July 27, 2017. Latest: REAP Seat Allotment 2017 - First round of seat allotment result announced 


The applicants were required to fill and submit the application form to be considered eligible for admission. REAP 2017 will be providing admissions on the basis of the applicant’s performance in JEE Main 2017 or Class 10+2 marks/percentile. Allotment will be done based on the merit and preference of the selected applicants.

What is New in REAP 2017?

  • Unlike the previous years, both JEE Main and 12th board qualified candidates will get a chance for admission from the first round of counselling. However, first priority will be given to the JEE Main 2017 candidates followed by the 12th board percentile candidates.

  • Aadhaar number was mandatory while filling the online application form along with the JEE Main 2017/ 12th Board roll number.

  • REAP 2017 is scheduled to have only four rounds of counselling - Round 1 (Only for outside Rajasthan candidates - 15% seats), Round 2 (Only for Rajasthan candidates - Remaining Seats), Round 3 (Upgradation/ Upward movement for Rajasthan candidates who have participated in Round 2) and Round 4 (Special last round counselling with provision of new registration). 

  • There will be just one-time non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 700. 

  • It is mandatory to deposit advance fee of Rs. 10,000 to participate in counselling. 

  • Payment of fees can be done through Netbanking/ Credit Card/ ATM card/ Debit Card through REAP 2017 website. 

  • Upgradation will also be available for candidates from other states too.

REAP Seat Allotment 2017


The first round of seat allotment for REAP 2017 has been announced. Candidates can download the seat allotment letter of REAP 2017 by entering their login id, password and date of birth. After the registration and choice locking process is over, the selection of choices by the applicants was centrally processed and the allotment was done based on the order of merit and preference. The allotment was done following a strict process of the order of merit, seats available and order of options by the applicant. This information was processed by a computer software. After the allotment is done, the result will be released online for all selected applicants. No individual allotment letter will be sent to the applicants.


Those applicants who are successfully allotted seats will have to report at their allotted institute to confirm their admission. Document verification will be done along with payment of tuition fees when the applicants report at the allotted institute. If the applicants fail to report at the allotted institute, then he/she will be disqualified.

REAP Eligibility Criteria 2017


The applicants will have to ensure that he/she meet all of the required eligibility criteria set by the admission committee. To be eligible, the applicants will have to satisfy different criteria related to age, academic qualification, medical fitness and more. If the applicants are not able to meet these criteria then he/she will be rejected from the admission process. The following criteria of REAP 2017 will have to be met by the applicants:

  • Age:  The applicants who are born on or after October 1, 1992 will be termed eligible for admission. However, there is a 5 year relaxation for applicants belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category. SC, ST and PwD candidates born on or after October 1, 1987 are eligible. 

  • Academic Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of “SC/ST/Non-creamy layer OBC/ Non-creamy layer SBC” of Rajasthan State). The applicants should have completed their 10+2 examination with Physics and Maths as compulsory along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science subjects. The examination should have been completed from a Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/CBSE.

  • Medical Eligibility: The candidates must produce a medical certificate at the time of reporting to the allotted institute certified by a registered medical practitioner or medical officer of Government of Rajasthan in the prescribed format.  
The medical certificate should certify the following:

Height: Not less than 1.5 meters for male candidates and not less than 1.4 meters for female candidates.

• Weight: Not less than 41 kg for male candidates and 37 kg for female candidates (Approximately).

• Chest Measurement: Not less than 69 cm with satisfactory limits of expansion and contraction (for male candidates only).

• Heart & Lungs: No abnormality.

• Hernia, Hydrocele, Piles etc.: Presence of any of these will be a temporary disqualification to be rectified before joining the courses of study.

• Vision: Normal. Where defective, it must be corrected to 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye. Eyes should be free from congenital and other diseases. In case of admission to Mining Engineering courses, the candidates must be free from colour blindness (inability to distinguish between principal colours) also.

• Hearing: Normal. Where defective, it must be corrected.

• Speech: Normal.

Note: The doctor should also certify that the candidate is medically fit for the engineering profession.
  • JEE Main 2017: Should have qualified JEE Main 2017 with the required scores.

  • Domicile Criteria: The applicant or his/her parents should be bonafide residents of Rajasthan OR the applicant should have studied continuously as a regular student in recognized institutes of Rajasthan for the preceding three years. The applicant who is the son/daughter of serving/retired Government employees or Central Government or Defense Service will also be eligible for admission.

  • Medical Fitness: For admissions, the applicants should have to be medically fit as per the standards set by the admission committee.

REAP Reservation of Seats 2017


REAP provides reservation of seats to applicants belonging to different categories as per the statutory provisions of the state of Rajasthan. For admissions, through reservation, the applicant will have to meet some criteria as per the category selected. Only those applicants who met the reservation criteria will be allotted seats as per the category.

REAP Application Form 2017


Registrations for REAP 2017 had started from May 15 onwards in online mode. The applicants had to submit all of the required information in the application form. Firstly, the applicants had to register themselves. The information provided by the applicants should have been valid and corresponding to the documents possessed by the applicant. Scanned copies of photograph and signature of the applicant also had to be uploaded as per the specifications required. The applicants had to make sure that the correct information was being submitted. Payment of the application fees could be done through Netbanking, ATM card, Debit Card and Credit Card, Option filling and locking also had to be done by the applicants. A printout of the filled application form could be taken by the applicants for future use. The hard copy was not to be sent to the admission committee by the applicants. The last date of deposition of registration fee and advance fee was June 28, 2017 and the last date for registration and option form filling was June 30, 2017.

The applicants were able to pay the application fees of REAP 2017 through Netbanking, ATM card, Debit Card, Credit Card. The generated transaction ID has to be kept for future reference. The application fee was not refundable.

REAP Rank List 2017


The admission committee of REAP 2017 will be releasing the rank list based on the marks secured by the applicants in JEE Main 2017 and 10+2 qualifying examination. The applicants with JEE Main 2017 scores will be allotted seats first followed by the applicants with 10+2th standard examination marks. REAP Counselling 2017


The registrations for REAP Counselling 2017 is now open. The available seat information relating to the institutions, department and programme is now available for all candidates. The applicants will have to fill as many number of choices in the order of preference they want while registering themselves for the counselling session. Change, re-order, delete and add new choices can also be done before the last date. The choices have to be locked by the applicants before the specified last date.
