I have OBC certificate of state list not central list. So I applied as general category in jee mains. In admission in NSIT/DTU will I be able to join with general rank in OBC category?

Rehan Alam Student Expert 14th Oct, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

For every college which take admissions with the JEE main JoSAA counseling, that is, a pan India counseling. If you're allotted a college under JoSAA then you have to produce a central OBC certificate. So basically all the national level admissions will require you to have a central OBC certificate otherwise you'll only be eligible for a open(general) seat.

However, there are certain colleges which are under state government, in such colleges you can certainly take admissions through your state certificate.

Hope this helps.

how many marksand rank required in jee ,mains 2020 to get it branch in dtu i am having home state and gen

Vundela Vidya Sree Student Expert 12th Oct, 2019
Hello aspirant!!

The marks to get seat in any Engineering college through JEE Marks is not fixed. The cutoff may differ from year to year. So you should get good marks and keep the target high. Next year the target may be high because the competition is very high. So prepare well.

Good Luck!!

Sir I am from outside the Delhi region Is this possible to get Delhi region If I do my nios board from nct Delhi I want to take admission in dtu Delhi And reservation in Delhi region is much lower for outsiders So can I get Delhi region from any possible way

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 11th Oct, 2019
Hello aspirant I am here for helping you.
As you know 85% seats of DTU are reserved for Delhi students and rest 15% are for non-delhi resedence so, competition is very high there for non-delhi  students because number of students are very much but seats available are less .
If you are expecting any core branch like CSE,IT, mechanical, electrical, electronic etc. And you are from General /OBC  so it may little bit difficult for you to have admission because students with rank around 10k get admission with many difficulties,
For having admission in non-core branch you can have with around 3k-4k rank and if you are from SC/ST category then it becomes little bit easy as compared to above cases.
So the only way is to swamped , don't waste do hard work and score good .
I hope you got it.
Feel free to ask any query in comment section.
Best of luck.
