JAC Delhi Counselling 2018: Joint Admission Counselling Committee, Delhi has released the upgraded list for NSIT, DTU and IGDTUW. Candidates can check the lists below. The authorities announced the registration for spot round of JAC Delhi counselling 2018. Candidates need to show their willingness to participate in spot round after logging in their account from July 24 to 25, 2018. The willing candidates need to pay the spot round participation fee of Rs 10,000 through online mode only (debit/ credit/ net banking). Candidates must note that this spot round fee is refundable/ adjustable. After paying the participation fee, interested candidates need to get a Demand Draft made of Rs 65,000 in favour of "JAC 2018 2018 ADMISSION FEE" payable at New Delhi before physical reporting at the spot round venue. It is important that candidates willing to participate in the spot round first check the complete eligibility criteria especially prescribed for this round and then proceed to register. All candidates had to register to participate in the counselling of JAC Delhi 2018. JAC Delhi 2018 counselling was held in online mode in six rounds by the admission authorities. Allotment into B.E./ B.Tech courses in DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT is done based on the merit of the candidates secured in JEE Main examination Paper I. JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 – Spot Round

The admission authorities have started the registration for spot round of JAC Delhi 2018 from July 24. It is important that candidates first check the complete eligibility criteria of JAC Delhi spot round 2018 and then proceed to register.

 

Who is Eligible for Spot Round Counselling of JAC Delhi 2018?

 

Candidates who have already done online registration after paying Rs 1500 on or before June 26, 2018 for participating in JAC Delhi 2018 counselling and fall under any of the following categories are eligible to participate in spot round:

  • Registered candidates who have not taken admission in any of the participating institiute/ university of JAC Delhi upto round 6.
  • Registered candidates who have not been offered any seat upto round 6.
  • Candidates who have withdrawn their admission from any four of the participating institutes/ university at any stage of online counselling.
  • Registered candidates who were allotted seat in some round but did not report for admission at DTU/ NSIT/ IGDTUW/ IIITD.
  • Registered candidates who have not filled any choices during online registration process that was from June 15 to 23, 2018.
  • Registered candidates who were allotted seat in some round of counselling but seat was cancelled due to some deficiency.
  • IGDTUW admitted candidates whose rank is lower than base cutoff rank provided by JAC Delhi 2018. 

Procedure for JAC Delhi Spot Round Counselling

  • Candidates need to submit their willingness to participate in Spot Round after login into their account from July 24, 2018 (10 AM) to July 25 (11:59 PM).
  • Candidates willing need to pay Spot Round Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000 through online mode only (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net banking). This Spot Round Participation Fee is refundable / adjustable. IGDTUW admitted candidates having ranks lower than the base cutoff need not to pay the participation fee.
  • After participation fee payment, all interested candidates must get a Demand Draft issued for Rs. 65,000/- in favour of “JAC DELHI2018 ADMISSION FEE” payable at New Delhi before reporting for the Spot Round Venue.
  • These category of candidates are not required to get a Demand Draft issued:
  • a. IGDTUW admitted candidates whose rank is lower than Base Cutoff Rank provided by JAC Delhi 2018. They need not even pay Spot Round Participation Fee.Their name will be automatically included in spot round.
  • b. Candidates who have paid academic fee of Rs. 75000 for admission and later withdrawn admission.
  • c. Candidates who were allotted seat and have paid academic fee of Rs. 75000 but their admission was not confirmed.
  • Entry to the Spot Round Venue will be permitted only after showing the receipt of payment of Spot Round Participation Fee.
  • Candidates need to report at Spot Round Venue, DTU as per the schedule along with all the documents mentioned. Candidates must bring all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of these documents.

Required Documents

  • Receipt of the applicable fee payment Rs. 10,000
  • Demand Draft of Rs. 65,000  issued in favour of “JAC DELHI 2018 ADMISSION FEE” payable at New Delhi
  • Online Registration Form downloaded from JAC Delhi website
  • Three passport size photographs
  • Self-attested copies of Admit Card and Score Card of JEE Main 2018.
  • Original and self-attested copy of marks sheet of the qualifying examination i.e. Class XII or equivalent.
  • Original and self-attested copy of Date of Birth certificate as indicated in High School or equivalent examination i.e. Class X.
  • Original and self-attested copy for the reserved category / sub-category, if other than the General Category.
  • Medical fitness certificate original in case of General/ SC/ ST/ CW/ OBC/ SG/ TP/ CW/ KM
  • PD sub-category: a. A certificate of physical disability issued by the Competent Authority as per the provision of the Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 in the prescribed format as given under the Act.
  • b. The Candidate with benchmark disabilities shall produce the medical certificate issued by the Govt. Hospitals duly notified by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi/Other State government and further duly verified by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned Government Hospital.
  • c. A certificate duly recommended by Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for the handicapped, 9-11 Vikas Marg, Karkardooma, Delhi-110092.

Note: All the certificates claiming reservation under various categories / sub-categories must have been issued on or before Spot round.

JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling Procedure

 

The counselling of JAC Delhi 2018 has commenced. All candidates who wish for admissions could register for counselling. Allotment into the B.Tech seats offered through JAC Delhi 2018 is done through the following steps:

Step 1 – Payment of Counselling Fee

Step 2 – Online Registration

Step 3 – Login to JAC Delhi Account

Step 4 – Choice Filling

Step 5 – Choice Locking and Printing of Locked Choices

Step 6 – Seat Allotment

Step 7 – Reporting at Allotted Institute

 

Step 1 – Payment of Counselling Fee

Firstly, all of the eligible candidates who wish to participate in JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 were required to pay the counselling fee. The registration cum counselling fee was non-refundable. The payment of the counselling fees could be done by the candidates in both online or offline mode. To start the payment process, the candidates had to submit the following information:

  • JEE Main 2018 roll number

  • Name of the candidate

Counselling Fee – Rs. 1400 (excluding bank charges)

 

Online Payment Mode – The candidates could pay the counselling fee through credit card/debit card/Internet banking through Bill Desk Payment Gateway. Additional transaction charges were applicable for the candidates according to their mode of payment. After payment, the candidates could immediately register themselves for the JAC Delhi 2018 counselling session.

  • Credit/Debit Cards – 1.00% of the transaction amount plus Service Tax as applicable.

  • Internet Banking – Rs. 10 plus Service Tax as applicable.

Offline Payment Mode – The counselling fee could also be paid in offline mode through cash payment at any branch of State Bank Of India using the e-challan. Additional bank charges had to pay the additional bank charges and applicable service tax.

 

Step 2 – Online Registration

After the payment of fees was completed successfully, the candidates had to register for the counselling process. To complete the registration process, the candidates had to click on the “Registration” and submit the following details:

  • JEE Main 2018 Roll Number

  • JEE Main 2018 Application No
  • Name of candidate
  • Date of Birth

The candidates had to submit their basic details - personal & academic, bank details after which they had to upload their photograph and signature. The photograph should not be more than 40KB and the signature should not be more than 20KB. The email id and mobile number submitted should be valid as all details are communicated through the contact information provided. The JEE Main roll number of the candidate will act as the User ID.

 

Step 3 – Login to JAC Delhi Account

After completing the registration process, the candidates had to log into their JAC Delhi account. The following options were made available for the candidates in their account.

  • Registration Details

  • Edit Registration – The candidates were able to make corrections or updation to all the information submitted. 

  • Available Choices – A list of available institute and course choices were displayed according to the candidate’s eligibility.

  • Display Filled Choices – After the candidates selected their preferred courses and institutes, the choices were displayed. The candidates were advised to select the maximum number of options for a better chance at admission.

Step 4 – Choice Filling

All of the candidates were required to fill their preferred choices after registration. The options was generated according to their eligibility from which the candidates had to select as per their preference. Maximum number of options should have been selected for better chance of admissions.

 

Step 5 – Choice Locking and Printing of Locked Choices

After filling their choices, the candidates were required to lock their selection. A print out of the filled choices had to be taken out for future use. If the candidates failed to lock their choices, then it would be automatically locked after the registration period expires.

 

Step 6 – Seat Allotment

The allotment of seats is done according to the candidates’ All India Rank in JEE Main 2018. The preferences selected by the candidates are also taken into consideration during the allotment process. The result of the allotment is announced after every round of JAC Delhi 2018 counselling. The allotted candidates will have to download their provisional allotment letter by logging into their account.

The candidates will have to pay an initial deposit of Rs. 75,000 through online mode or through SBI challan at any SBI Branch before reporting at the allotted institute. The payment process will be initiated after the candidates log into their JAC Delhi account.

 

Step 7 – Reporting at Allotted Institute

The candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institute for verification of documents. The receipt of the paid fees will also have to be produced. It is important for all candidates to report at the institute within the allotted time otherwise their allotment may get cancelled. Those candidates who do not take admission in the provisionally allotted branch or institute will not be considered for admission in the further rounds of counselling except for spot round.

 

Seat Upgradation in JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling

  • In case of vacant seats, the candidates will be automatically upgraded according to their merit in JEE Main 2018 and preferences selected during choice filling.

  • Allotted candidates who get upgraded in a subsequent round will not have to report at the upgraded institute.

  • Those candidates who are admitted up to the completion of the third round will be considered for upgradation.

  • In case the candidates are happy with the seat allotted and does not wish to be upgraded in the subsequent rounds, then they must request JAC authorities in writing to freeze the allotted seats on the day of admission/allotment of the branch.

JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 – Second Round

No fresh registration was allowed for the second round counselling of JAC Delhi 2018. The vacant seats left after the conclusion of the first round had to be filled by the admission authorities.

 

Who will be Eligible for JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling Second Round?

The following type of candidates were eligible for the second round of JAC Delhi counselling 2018:

  • Type I – Those candidates who were not allotted any seats in the first round of counselling will be considered for the second round.

  • Type II – Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round, paid the admission fees and had their documents verified but are still expecting seat upgradation will be eligible for the second round.

Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round of JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling

The process was similar to the first round of JAC Delhi counselling 2018. The candidates who were allotted in the sixth round counselling of JAC Delhi 2018 are not eligible for refund of admission fees.
