JAC-Delhi_CounsellingJAC Delhi Counselling 2018: Joint Admission Counselling Committee, Delhi has commenced the JAC Delhi 2018 counselling session. All candidates can now register to participate in the counselling of JAC Delhi 2018. Only the registered candidates will be able to fill and submit their preferred choices for admission which will be referred to during allotment. JAC Delhi 2018 counselling is held in online mode by the admission authorities. Allotment into B.E./ B.Tech courses in DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT will be done based on the merit of the candidates secured in JEE Main examination Paper I. B.Arch admissions in IGDTUW through JAC Delhi will be done based on JEE Main Paper II. JAC Delhi 2018 counselling is conducted in six rounds. JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling Procedure

 

The counselling of JAC Delhi 2018 has commenced. All candidates who wish for admissions can now register for counselling. Allotment into the B.Tech seats offered through JAC Delhi 2018 is done through the following steps:

Step 1 – Payment of Counselling Fee

Step 2 – Online Registration

Step 3 – Login to JAC Delhi Account

Step 4 – Choice Filling

Step 5 – Choice Locking and Printing of Locked Choices

Step 6 – Seat Allotment

Step 7 – Reporting at Allotted Institute

 

Step 1 – Payment of Counselling Fee

Firstly, all of the eligible candidates who wish to participate in JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 are required to pay the counselling fee. The registration cum counselling fee is non-refundable. The payment of the counselling fees can be done by the candidates in both online or offline mode. To start the payment process, the candidates have to submit the following information:

  • JEE Main 2018 roll number

  • Name of the candidate

Counselling Fee – Rs. 1400 (excluding bank charges)

 

Online Payment Mode – The candidates can pay the counselling fee through credit card/debit card/Internet banking through Bill Desk Payment Gateway. Additional transaction charges will be applicable for the candidates according to their mode of payment. After payment, the candidates can immediately register themselves for the JAC Delhi 2018 counselling session.

  • Credit/Debit Cards – 1.00% of the transaction amount plus Service Tax as applicable.

  • Internet Banking – Rs. 10 plus Service Tax as applicable.

Offline Payment Mode – The counselling fee can also be paid in offline mode through cash payment at any branch of State Bank Of India using the e-challan. Additional bank charges will have to pay the additional bank charges and applicable service tax.

 

Step 2 – Online Registration

After the payment of fees is completed successfully, the candidates have to register for the counselling process. To complete the registration process, the candidates will have to click on the “Registration” and submit the following details:

  • JEE Main 2018 Roll Number

  • JEE Main 2018 Application No
  • Name of candidate
  • Date of Birth

The candidates have to submit their basic details - personal & academic, bank details after which they will have to upload their photograph and signature. The photograph should not be more than 40KB and the signature should not be more than 20KB. The email id and mobile number submitted should be valid as all details will be communicated through the contact information provided. The JEE Main roll number of the candidate will act as the User ID.

 

Step 3 – Login to JAC Delhi Account

After completing the registration process, the candidates will have to log into their JAC Delhi account. The following options will be made available for the candidates in their account.

  • Registration Details

  • Edit Registration – The candidates will be able to make corrections or updation to all the information submitted. 

  • Available Choices – A list of available institute and course choices will be displayed according to the candidate’s eligibility.

  • Display Filled Choices – After the candidates select their preferred courses and institutes, the choices will be displayed. The candidates are advised to select the maximum number of options for a better chance at admission.

Step 4 – Choice Filling

All of the candidates will be required to fill their preferred choices after registration. The options will be generated according to their eligibility from which the candidates will have to select as per their preference. Maximum number of options should be selected for better chance of admissions.

 

Step 5 – Choice Locking and Printing of Locked Choices

After filling their choices, the candidates will be required to lock their selection. A print out of the filled choices has to be taken out for future use. If the candidates fail to lock their choices, then it will be automatically locked after the registration period expires.

 

Step 6 – Seat Allotment

The allotment of seats will be done according to the candidates’ All India Rank in JEE Main 2018. The preferences selected by the candidates will also be taken into consideration during the allotment process. The result of the allotment will be announced after every round of JAC Delhi 2018 counselling. The allotted candidates will have to download their provisional allotment letter by logging into their account.

The candidates will have to pay an initial deposit of Rs. 75,000 through online mode or through SBI challan at any SBI Branch before reporting at the allotted institute. The payment process will be initiated after the candidates log into their JAC Delhi account.

 

Step 7 – Reporting at Allotted Institute

The candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institute for verification of documents. The receipt of the paid fees will also have to be produced. It is important for all candidates to report at the institute within the allotted time otherwise their allotment may get cancelled. Those candidates who do not take admission in the provisionally allotted branch or institute will not be considered for admission in the further rounds of counselling except for spot round.

 

Seat Upgradation in JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling

  • In case of vacant seats, the candidates will be automatically upgraded according to their merit in JEE Main 2018 and preferences selected during choice filling.

  • Allotted candidates who get upgraded in a subsequent round will not have to report at the upgraded institute.

  • Those candidates who are admitted up to the completion of the third round will be considered for upgradation.

  • In case the candidates are happy with the seat allotted and does not wish to be upgraded in the subsequent rounds, then they must request JAC authorities in writing to freeze the allotted seats on the day of admission/allotment of the branch.

JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 – Second Round

No fresh registration will be allowed for the second round counselling of JAC Delhi 2018. The vacant seats left after the conclusion of the first round will have to be filled by the admission authorities.

 

Who will be Eligible for JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling Second Round?

The following type of candidates will be eligible for the second round of JAC Delhi counselling 2018:

  • Type I – Those candidates who were not allotted any seats in the first round of counselling will be considered for the second round.

  • Type II – Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round, paid the admission fees and had their documents verified but are still expecting seat upgradation will be eligible for the second round.

Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round of JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling

The process will be similar to the first round of JAC Delhi counselling 2018. The candidates who will be allotted in the sixth round counselling of JAC Delhi 2018 will not be eligible for refund of admission fees.

 

JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 – Spot Round

The admission authorities will be conducting the spot round of JAC Delhi Counselling 2018 to fill vacancies that may arise as a result of upgradation of seats in the participating institutes – DTU, NSIT, IIIT-D & IGDTUW.

 

Who is Eligible for Spot Round Counselling of JAC Delhi 2018?

  • The candidates should not have taken up admission till the last round.

  • All of those candidates who were not allotted in the previous round of counselling will be eligible for admission.

  • Candidates who had forfeited their seats after taking admission before the last date of withdrawal will also be able to apply for the counselling round.

  • Registered candidates who were allotted seats in the previous rounds of counselling but the seat was cancelled for some reason will also be eligible for the spot round.
