About: Rungta Educational Foundation was established in 1999 with the establishment of its first college, RCET located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Q. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
A: My name is Shreeya Chandrakar and I am from Nepal.
Q. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
A: I am pursuing B.Tech (Semester VI) from the Rungta Educational Foundation.

Q. Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the Rungta Educational Foundation?
A: I moved from Nepal to this place in search of knowledge. Naturally, I was apprehensive, but surprisingly, the support staff and my fellow students turned out to be welcoming. Within a few weeks, we were familiar with the area and all the nearby hangout spots. Now, we're the go-to experts for anyone new around here.
Q. What activities are offered in the Rungta Educational Foundation? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
A: At Rungta R1, we have various sports and cultural activities to dive into from top-notch facilities for various sports to a fully equipped gym and 16 vibrant cultural clubs. Owing to my interests I am a part of Carpedium (English RSDC), Radiction (Language RSDC) and Run Vijay (Sports RSDC).

Q. Describe a typical day at Rungta Educational Foundation - what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
A: My college days are filled with engaging lectures and practical sessions, keeping me on my toes from morning to night. As the morning caffeine kicks in, my classmates and I prepare for the day ahead. We fuel up with delicious snacks at the cafeteria, catch up with friends, and recharge for the afternoon. After classes, we dive into thrilling activities like sports, entertainment, and exploring the vibrant market. Evenings are spent revising lectures, preparing for assignments, and enjoying dinner with friends. It's a fantastic and fulfilling routine that I wouldn't trade for anything else.
Q. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
A: At Rungta R1, there’s a harmonious balance between faculty and students to ensure personalised attention and unwavering support for each student. Our professors act as dedicated mentors, fostering strong bonds and a vibrant teacher-student relationship. Through open communication, they spark academic curiosity and offer guidance both in and out of the classroom. Students benefit from tailored mentoring, academic and career advice, and engaging research projects in our nurturing environment. Effective Studying: Adopting study techniques that work best, like active recall, summarising notes, and practising past exams.
Utilising Resources: Taking advantage of campus facilities, like libraries, study spaces, and academic support services, can assist in studies.
Maintaining Balance: Allocating time for extracurricular activities, hobbies, and relaxation is also essential for a balanced lifestyle.
Adaptability: Being flexible to adjust schedules as per academic demands, unexpected events, or personal needs.
With these strategies, I am skilfully able to juggle the academic workload while still taking part in other enriching activities to ensure a fulfilling college experience at R1.
Q. Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students' point of view.
A: RSDC acts as a game-changer to help students pursue their hobbies and interests and bring people together. As a club member one knows about oneself, one's interests and goals and can also add skills to their repertoire.

Q. Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at Rungta Educational Foundation?
A: Yes, there is an in-house magazine at Rungta R1 which covers campus events and happenings. There is also a journal that focuses on research conducted by students and faculty. These publications serve to keep the campus community informed about both academic achievements and extracurricular activities.
Campus Vaani: Published thrice in a year, the magazine of Rungta R1, reports all kinds of events that take place on the campus.

A: The popular hangouts at RCET are the Cafeteria, Library, Student Lounges, Sports Facilities and Common Areas. The most visited places nearby RCET are Shiv Mandir Deobalod, Tandula Dam, Hajra Falls, Civic Centre and Bamleshwari Mandir, Dongargarh.
Q. How do you spend your leisure time at the Rungta Educational Foundation campus?
A: During my leisure time on campus, I enjoy a variety of activities depending on my mood and interests:
Socialising: I like to hang out with friends in the cafeteria or common areas, catching up and discussing various topics.
Sports and Fitness: Engaging in various sports activities at the campus which include gym or outdoor fields.
Exploring Clubs: Participating in club activities related to my interests, whether it's academic, cultural, or hobby-based.
Overall, campus life has various opportunities to enjoy leisure time, making it easy to balance academic pursuits with personal interests and relaxation.
Q. Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?
A: I think I know well to say that there isn't an FB page or blog for Rungta R1 students to share their perspectives or campus experiences. However, it's important to highlight that the management is highly responsive to student feedback and takes appropriate action. Various dedicated individuals lead different cells to ensure that every student's voice is not just heard, but also acknowledged. It's truly impressive to see the management's genuine concern for our input.
Q. What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?
A: R1 is a hub for campus recruitment in Central India, drawing in diverse companies from various industries seeking to recruit across different functions. The array of companies and industries interested in recruiting from R1 is truly impressive. Typical categories include:
IT and Software Companies: Including multinational corporations and startups focusing on software development, IT services, and related technologies.
