The JEE Main 2028 official notification will be released in October 2027. The National Testing Agency will release the application forms in November 2027 on the official website. To be eligible, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. Applicants are required to fill out the application form before the deadline. The authority will conduct the JEE Main in two sessions. The JEE Main 2028 first session will be held in January 2028, and the second session will be held in April 2028.
While no minimum percentage is required to appear for the JEE Mains 2026, candidates need 75% marks in Class 12 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics for admissions to NITs, IITs, IIITs, and other institutes.

The JEE Main eligibility criteria will be published in the official brochure released on the website. Candidates are advised to check the requirements before applying for the application form. Below is the detailed description of the eligibility requirements:
Candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum mark of 75% from a recognised board.
Diploma holders can also apply.
There is no age limit for the JEE Main Exam.
Candidates must have subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and one additional subject.
Students are allowed for a maximum of 3 consecutive attempts from the year of passing 10+2.
There is also a relaxation of 5% in marks for SC/ST students.
The JEE Main exam pattern includes three papers - Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch, and Paper 2B for B.Plan. The NTA will release the official exam pattern once the notifications are released for the JEE Main 2028. However, candidates can have a look on the below exam pattern:
