JEE Advanced Result 2018 – IIT Kanpur has announced the list of extended list of qualified JEE Advanced 2018 candidates. The new minimum aggregate marks for inclusion in the rank list has also been released. JEE Advanced 2018 result was published in online mode on June 10. Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam on May 20 can login to check the JEE Advanced result 2018. Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks as specified by the authorities of JEE Advanced will be declared as qualified and awarded a rank on the basis of their merit. The rank obtained in JEE Advanced 2018 result will be used for JoSAA counselling to gain admissions to the 23 IITs. Candidates can also download their rank card after checking the result of JEE Advanced 2018.

Candidates were intimated about the JEE Advanced result 2018 through SMS to their registered mobiles. They will not be issued any physical rank card and also will not be sent by any other means. Note: A candidate who qualifies in more than one category will be considered in the ranks lists for all the categories to which he/she belongs.
Candidates having higher positive marks will be awarded the higher rank.
If the tie remains unbroken, candidates who have obtained higher marks in Mathematics will be awarded a higher rank.
In case the tie still remains the candidate who has scored higher marks will be awarded the higher rank.

Candidates must apply for counselling through JoSAA 2018 which will start on June 15. The registrations for JoSAA counselling will be online and available till June 25, 2018. Mock allotments will be announced on two dates – June 18 and June 24, 2018 to allow candidates to understand the process in depth and note how the allotments are done. The first allotment will be announced on June 27 while the last and seventh allotment will be on July 18.

Before applying for JoSAA, candidates are advised to check the opening and closing scores for the popular branches as well as the 23 IITs to understand their chances of obtaining a seat and filling the choices during JoSAA.

there is no percentage criteria in JEE main. The rule says that you have to qualify your +2. So you have to clear your intermediate prior to the exam.
