ALL THE BEST

If you have appeared for Class 12 (or equivalent) in the year 2023 or 2024 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, you are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. Therefore, you are appearing for your board exams in Class 12 in 2024; therefore, you are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.

Clearing the JEE Main exam will also get you an eligibility to write the JEE Advanced. For getting entry into JEE Advanced, you would have to secure a rank amongst 2,50,000 candidates, for which you have to prepare for the JEE Main and score a good rank for eligibility to the JEE Advanced examination.

Yes, you will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced in 2025 and 2026.

The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced allow candidates to attempt the exam in the year they complete their Class 12th and one consecutive year afterward. Since you are reappearing for Class 12th in the academic year 2024-25 due to health reasons, your official year of Class 12th completion will be considered 2025. This means you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced in both 2025 and 2026.

The authorities understand that candidates may face unavoidable circumstances, such as health issues, that require them to defer their studies. Eligibility for JEE Advanced is based on the year in which Class 12th is completed, not the year it was initially scheduled. Since you are completing your Class 12th in 2025, you meet the necessary timeline to take JEE Advanced in the next two consecutive years.

Make sure to fulfill any other specific requirements, like the minimum marks criteria in the necessary subjects. Focus on your health and studies, knowing you’re fully eligible to pursue JEE Advanced when you're ready.

Prioritizing Your Exam Strategy

Understanding Your Priorities:

Given your interest in defense services, it's understandable that NDA/NA would be a top priority. However, it's crucial to have a backup plan and consider other options as well.

Balancing NDA/NA with Other Exams:

  1. NDA/NA Focus:

    • Prioritize: If your primary goal is to join the defense forces, dedicate significant time to preparing for NDA/NA.
    • Physical Fitness: Start working on your physical fitness, as it's a crucial component of the selection process.
    • Strategic Studies: Develop a strong understanding of current affairs, history, and geography.
  2. Other Exams as a Backup:

    • IIT JEE/KCET/CUET: While focusing on NDA/NA, maintain a balance and continue your preparation for these exams.
    • Engineering or Science Degree: These exams can open doors to various engineering and science-related fields, providing you with a solid academic foundation and diverse career options.

Making the Decision:

  • Rank and Preference: If you secure a good rank in both NDA/NA and other exams, you can make an informed decision based on your preferences and career goals.
  • Parental Guidance: Consult with your parents or guardians to discuss your options and weigh the pros and cons of each choice.
  • Seek Expert Advice: Consider seeking advice from career counselors or mentors who can provide valuable insights.

Key Considerations:

  • Discipline and Dedication: Consistent hard work and dedication are essential for success in all these exams.
  • Time Management: Create a well-structured study plan to balance your time effectively.
  • Physical Fitness: Maintain a healthy lifestyle and engage in regular physical activity.
  • Mental Health: Prioritize your mental well-being through relaxation techniques and stress management.

Remember, the ultimate decision depends on your individual circumstances, aspirations, and the opportunities that come your way. Stay focused, work hard, and believe in yourself!
