Is Aadhaar and APAAR ID mandatory for MHT CET Registration 2026? - State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra, has announced that Aadhaar and APAAR ID are not mandatory for registration during phase 2 of MHT CET 2026 exam. Candidates who had applying during the extended registration period are not required to provide these details at the time of form submission. However, applicants must complete Aadhaar authentication and generate an APAAR ID through DigiLocker for the verification process later. The latest notification issued by the Maharashtra State CET Cell has made filling in the Aadhaar (UIDAI) and APAAR ID details not mandatory for the MHTCET registration 2026. However, candidates must update details in the Aadhaar card and generate their APAAR ID, to be on the safe side.
APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID) is a unique 12-digit number assigned to a student to keep a record of their academic details. Candidates can find the APAAR ID in their Digilocker account and in their ABC accounts. Further, candidates can also contact their respective high schools for the APAAR ID. The authority has made the UDID card or disability certificate mandatory for PWD students. They are required to obtain the UDID card, as it will be required during the MHT CET registration 2026. The disability certificate must have been issued by the Competent Authority. Maharashtra State CET Cell has conducted the MHT CET special application process 2026 on April 23, 2026. Candidates had find the application form link on the official website. Begin the registration process by clicking on the ‘register ', and entering your name, mobile number, email ID and generating a password.
Now, to begin filling the MHT CET application form, candidates must log in using the email ID and password created before.
Fill in all the required details, including personal details, permanent address and address for correspondence, Category/Domicile details, and education qualifications.
After that, applicants must select the MHT CET 2026 exam Subject group, language (English/Marathi/Urdu) and exam centre.
They must now upload a photograph, signature, and photo ID proof document.
Finally, pay the MHT CET registration 2026 fees and submit the application form.

MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.
