    Is Aadhaar and APAAR ID mandatory for MHT CET Registration 2026? - Maharashtra State Cell, released a notice stating that the Aadhaar and APAAR ID are not mandatory for registrations for phase 2. Hence, candidates registering during the MHT CET 2026 extended registration period need not provide their Aadhaar and APAAR ID. Meanwhile, they must complete the Adhar authentication and generate an APAAR ID through DigiLocker for the verification. However, PwD applicants must include their UDID card and include two scribe details for the CAP process. The session 2 MHT CET 2026 registration has been reopened on April 15, 2026, with a late fee of Rs 500. Candidates applying for the MHT CET 2026 exam are instructed to verify and update details, including name, date of birth, photograph, address, father’s name, and mobile number linked to an Aadhaar card.

    Aadhaar and APAAR ID for MHT CET Registration 2026

    The latest notification issued by the Maharashtra State CET Cell has made filling in the Aadhaar (UIDAI) and APAAR ID details not mandatory for the MHTCET registration 2026. However, candidates must update details in the Aadhaar card and generate their APAAR ID, to be on the safe side.

    APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID) is a unique 12-digit number assigned to a student to keep a record of their academic details. Candidates can find the APAAR ID in their Digilocker account and in their ABC accounts. Further, candidates can also contact their respective high schools for the APAAR ID. Further, the details candidates must update and verify in the Aadhaar card are as follows.

    UDID Card for MHT CET Registration 2026

    The authority has made the UDID card or disability certificate mandatory for PWD students. They are required to obtain the UDID card, as it will be required during the MHT CET registration 2026. The disability certificate must have been issued by the Competent Authority. Further, candidates who are eligible to apply for scribes must at least submit two scribes during the MHT CET application form fill-up process. Candidates can find the application form link on the official website. This year, there have been changes in the document requirements for MHT CET 2026, with the addition of APAAR ID.
