Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) conducts PDPU B.Tech Admissions for intake in approximately 252 seats to B.Tech programmes. PDPU Application Details

  • Candidates must apply for PDPU Admission in online mode only.

  • Before filling the application form, the applicants need to register online.

  • During the application form filling process, the candidates have to upload a recent colour photograph. They are required to upload the copies of requisite certificates and testimonials as specified by PDPU.

  • They must fill all their choices as per their course preference.

Registration Fee

  • Applicants who have passed qualifying exams from schools located outside Gujarat - Rs.1200

  • Applicants who have passed qualifying exams from schools located in Gujarat -  Rs.350

Documents required along with PDPU Application Form

  • JEE Main Admit Card

  • Caste certificate of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) issued by the authority empowered by state government

  • In case the candidate belongs to a PH Category, certificate of physical disability, issued and duly signed by Civil Surgeon/ competent Medical Authority

  • Passport size latest photograph of candidate


PDPU Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates aspiring for PDPU must have passed class XII or equivalent exam. 

  • The applicants belonging to general category need to have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 45% in class XII or equivalent exams. SC/ST applicants are required to have obtained a minimum 40% aggregate marks in class XII ir equivalent exam.

  • They are required to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class XII or equivalent exams.

  • It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in the Paper – 1 of JEE Main.

PDPU Admission Criteria

Gujarat Seats

  • 50% of the total seats in university are reserved for candidates belonging to Gujarat state. 

  • The applicants seeking admissions under the state seats have to apply at ACPC and fulfill the criteria as per ACPC norms. 

All India Seats 

  • 35% of the seats will be for all India candidates. 

  • Aspirants seeking admission on All India Seats are required to apply through online mode.

  • The candidates must register themselves online before the last specified by the University for application form. 

  • They have to appear and qualify JEE Main exam. 

  • On the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam, PDPU will allot the seats after counselling.

NRI Seats 

For the purpose of admission on NRI/NRI sponsored seats, candidates have to apply separately as per the guidelines of Government of Gujarat.

PDPU Counselling Details

  • Candidates are required to get registered through online mode and apply for PDPU counselling.

  • Allotment of seats for various courses will be done on the basis of following three factors.

  1. Rank in JEE Main 

  2. Category of the candidate

  3. Availability of seats

  • Candidates need to report to PDPU along with original documents on the date specified during the seat allotment procedure.

  • They are required to have deposited the remaining fee for PDPU B.Tech Admission

  • JEE (Main) Score Card

  • H.S.C. Examination (Std. XII) mark sheet


  • Caste certificate for a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST)
