About JoSAA
As mentioned above, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, i.e. JoSAA is the responsible authority that conducts counselling and seat allocation process based on JEE Main 2023. While registering for JoSAA 2024, the process requires candidates to select their choice of courses and colleges in consonance with their eligibility. JoSAA counselling and seat allocation takes place to provide admission into NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs to eligible candidates. Those candidates who make it to qualify JEE Main or JEE Advanced participate in JoSAA counselling. During this, there are 2 rounds of mock allotment that help the candidates make correct choices for the real allotment rounds that follow, conducted in 7 rounds. The result of seat allocation is released in online mode for each such round. Thereafter, candidates are allotted seats according to their merit, preferences, and seat availability.

Hello,

Yes, even after clearing JEE, you need to pay fees to study in a college. The fee structure varies depending on the college and course you choose. Here's a general idea:

1. Government Colleges: Fees are relatively low, around 5,000 to 50,000 per year.

2. Government-Aided Colleges: Fees are moderate, around 50,000 to 1,50,000 per year.
