Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
For JEE Mains 2026 a score of 75 marks must yield percentiles spanning from 91 to 93.
Students must achieve at least 75% marks to qualify for admission at NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs, yet each institute sets different admission terms.
It means that a score of 75 marks does not guarantee the 75% eligibility for getting admission through JEE Main, because the criteria of the institute may differ.
On Question asked by student community
Hello,
You do not need to worry.
If your 10th online result copy clearly shows your name, roll number, school name, board name, and marks, then NTA usually accepts it. For JEE Main application, the Class 10 certificate is only for verification of your date of birth , not for marks.
But if NTA gives a correction window and allows replacing the document, it is better to upload the proper 10th board mark sheet . This avoids any doubt later.
Sugessions:
If correction window opens then Re-upload the correct 10th mark sheet .
If no option is given then your current document is normally fine.
No need to panic. This is a common mistake.
Hope it helps !

Hi,
In your JEE application, you have to write the application number of your c entral caste certificate because for central government admissions like JEE, you have to use details of your central caste certificate. NTA asks for the application number, which is written on the upper side of the central caste certificate.
Hope it helps!!!
Hello,
You should select the General Category during the JEE Mains application process if your community is not listed under the central list of OBCs on the National Commission for Backward Classes website. Since you can't choose "VJA" and reservation benefits are only for those listed on the central list, applying under the general category is the correct procedure.
I hope it will clear your query!!
