National Forensic Sciences University

National Forensic Sciences University was established in 2009 and recognised as an Institution of National Importance in 2020. NFSU provides specialised B.Tech and B.Sc programs. The institution has many campuses, but in this article, we are mainly exploring the Gandhinagar campus in Gujarat. Earlier, admission to B.Tech at NFSU was based on NFAT(National Forensic Admission Test), but now, the admission process has shifted from NFAT to JEE Main Score. So, with this updated NFSU admission policy, students can get admission in engineering courses based on their valid JEE Main score.

Campuses Offering B.Tech Programs

B.Tech programs are mainly offered in the five campuses of National Forensic Sciences University, located in Gujarat, Delhi, Tripura, Dharwad, and Guwahati.

Placement data is available for MBA, MTech, and MSc programs, but not for BTech.

• Based on this data, the highest CTC offered for the Master's program was Rs. 67 LPA, and the median CTC offered was Rs. 13 LPA.

• Based on the 2023-2025 data, the maximum CTC for the MBA program at NFSU was Rs. 16 LPA, and the median CTC was Rs. 4.5 LPA, and the average CTC was Rs. 6 LPA.

This is student feedback gathered from social media to evaluate the placement performance from the students' perspective.

In this feedback, the student is stating that the campus placement is quite bad, with only a few students getting the placement. Students are being misled and are advised to either opt for higher studies or get industry jobs that are not related to their specialisation.

This is another negative feedback from social media. This 10-month-old feedback is stating that the faculty is poor and changes frequently. The cybersecurity program is being judged despite the significance of the subject.

With so much negative feedback, there is also positive feedback from the students. The feedback stated that:

• The student community is quite active in CTFs, cybersecurity, and hands-on learning.

• The university is growing with the government funding, and full construction on the campuses is underway.

• Exposure to law enforcement agencies and the opportunity to collaborate or intern with them.

• Considered as a better choice than many other private colleges related to cybersecurity programs.

School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics

The tuition fees for the five-year integrated B.Tech-M.Tech program in CSE (Cybersecurity) is Rs. 65,000 for semesters 1 to 6 and Rs. 90,000 for semesters 7 to 10. This integrated program is offered at five campuses: Gandhinagar, Delhi, Tripura, Dharwad, and Guwahati.

Eligibility:

• Candidates passed out Class 12th with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with any one subject from (Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Biology/IP/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship)

• Candidates with at least 60 per cent marks in Class 12th are eligible for the integrated program. For reserved categories, a five per cent relaxation in marks is provided.

• Admission is through a valid JEE Main 2026 score.

School of Engineering and Technology

The tuition fees for the four-year B.Tech in Civil Engineering are Rs. 65,000 per semester. This program is available at the Gandhinagar campus.

Eligibility:

School of Behavioural Forensics

The tuition fees for the three-year B.Sc in Criminology and Forensic Science are Rs. 65,000 per semester. This program is available at the Gandhinagar, Delhi, and Chennai campuses.

Eligibility:

• Candidates passed out Class 12th in the Science stream with a minimum 55 per cent marks for General, OBC, EWS category candidates, and 50 per cent marks for the SC, ST, PwD category candidates.

• Admission to the B.Sc. in Criminology and Forensic Science is through the CUET-UG 2026.

School of Forensic Science

The tuition fees for the five-year BSc- MSc Forensic Science program is Rs. 65,000 per semester. This program is available at the Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa, Bhopal, Tripura, Dhanwad, and Varanasi campuses.

Eligibility:

• Candidates passed out Class 12th in the Science stream with a minimum 55 per cent marks for General, OBC (NCL), EWS category candidates, and 50 per cent marks for the SC, ST, PwD category candidates.

• Admission to the integrated program in forensic science is through the CUET-UG 2026.

Mode of Admission: B.Tech and M.Tech (Valid JEE score 2026)

• NFSU provides admission through various national entrance tests, including JEE, CUET, CAT, CLAT, GATE or merit-based.

• Admission to the engineering course with specialisation in cyber security is based on the JEE Main 2026.

• Admission to forensic science(BSc-MSc integrated course) is based on the CUET-UG 2026.

Placement Details 2024 Campus-Wise

This table shows the campus-wise placement statistics based on the 2024 data.

• Gandhinagar Campus: 950 students graduated, of which 748 students were placed. The placement rate was 78.94 per cent.

• Delhi Campus: 102 students graduated, of which 54 students were placed. The placement rate was 50 per cent.

• Goa Campus: 27 students graduated, of which 19 students were placed. The placement rate was 69 per cent.
