CUET is a national-level exam that is conducted for UG and PG programmes. Admission to the participating colleges is purely merit-based. Also, top government and private institutions accept CUET scores. One of the major reasons why CUET is important is that it is comparatively easier than the JEE Main exam. As JEE Main is one of the most competitive entrance exams for UG engineering programmes with a limited number of seats, aspirants can always choose to take the CUET exam. Qualifying examination- A minimum of aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for class 12 as stated by the respective university. The percentage of qualifying marks could be different for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Usually accepted PCM percentage is around 45 to 50 % for general category students.
CUET scores- CUET cutoff score varies for different institutes. It is determined for different subjects and categories as well. Aspirants must have scored higher than the CUET cutoff score to be eligible for admission. The authority prepares the CUET cutoff based on the type of course, the number of seats available and the total number of applicants per subject.
Age Limit- There is no age limit for taking the CUET UG exam. However, participating colleges are free to determine the age limit for BTech admission through CUET. Therefore. students must contact their preferred college for more information.
