Have a question related to MGIT Hyderabad ?

Hii,

With a BCE category rank of 15112 in TS EAPCET, and considering you got CSE in MGIT in the 1st phase, it’s a decent position. G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (GNITS) is highly preferred for CSE, and the closing ranks for CSE/CSM/CSD in GNITS usually go up to around 6,000–12,000 depending on the branch and category. Since you're in BCE and already got MGIT, it might be tough for core CSE in GNITS, but you could have a chance for CSM or CSD if seats open up or if the cutoffs drop in the 2nd phase. I’d recommend you keep it in your options during web counselling and stay flexible.

All the best!

Hello,

For getting CSE, CSM, or CSD in G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS) in the second phase with your rank of 15112 under BCE Girls category. G. Narayanamma is one of the most preferred colleges for girls in Telangana, especially for computer-related branches. Courses like CSE, CSM , and CSD are in very high demand. The competition is tough, and the cut-off ranks for these courses usually close within 9,000 to 13,000 for the BCE girls category.

Since your rank is 15112, it might be a little difficult to secure a seat in these branches at GNITS in the general counselling. However, the second phase counselling can sometimes surprise students, as many candidates slide up or withdraw, and some seats open up in preferred colleges due to upgradation.

Even if GNITS doesn't work out this time, MGIT is also a good college with a decent placement record, especially in CSE.So, keep trying with full hope in the 2nd phase, and prepare a proper option entry list.

Wishing you good luck , and thank you for your question!

With a TG PGECET 2025 rank of 1416 and you belong to BCE category, your chances for getting CSE, AI or Data Science in CBIT or MGIT are a little low in the first rounds. These branches are very competitive and usually close around rank 400 to 800 in CBIT and around 1000 to 1200 in MGIT.

So, with your rank, it may be difficult to get CSE or AI in CBIT. But you might have some chance in MGIT, especially for AI or Data Science, in the last or spot round if seats are available.

You can also try for other good colleges like Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute, VNR VJIET, or Vasavi College (for related branches).

Hey! Thanks for sharing your scores. So, with 91.5 percentile in JEE Mains, 18,000 rank in AP EAPCET, and 96% in IPE, you’ve got a solid academic profile overall.

Now coming to MGIT (Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology) and admission under the B-Category (Management/NRI quota) — yes, you do have a good chance of getting CSE or even CSE specializations like AI, Data Science, or Cyber Security through this route.

B-Category admissions in MGIT are not strictly based on ranks, though they do consider JEE Main percentiles or EAPCET ranks as part of the evaluation. Since you’ve scored quite decently in both, you meet the general eligibility for this quota. Plus, your strong IPE percentage might help if they consider academic merit too.

Just make sure to apply on time when MGIT opens the B-Category notification, usually sometime after the regular EAPCET counselling. Seats are limited and go fast, especially for CSE branches, so keep checking the official site and be ready with documents.

All the best!
