For the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam, approximately 12,30,347 students registered, out of which 11,70,048 candidates appeared for the examination. At the beginning of the year, the registration for JEE Main 2025 was reported to be slow, primarily due to difficulties faced by candidates in filling out the application form. However, the numbers have since increased, reaching around 13.8 lakh by the registration deadline.

• In 2023, registration numbers were lower, with 8,60,064 applicants for the January session and 9,31,334 for the April session.

• In 2022: The year recorded about 10,26,799 registrations

• In 2021: A slightly higher number of registrations reaching 10,48,012

• In 2020: Only about 3,49,811 candidates have registered for JEE Main.
