Based on the latest available guidelines from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and trends from previous years (as of September 25, 2025), I'll address your query step by step. Note that the official JEE Main 2026 notification is expected in late 2025 (likely October-November), so requirements may be confirmed then. However, for 2025, NTA has introduced specific rules for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) candidates, and these are likely to continue for 2026 with minor updates. Your question focuses on two main parts: (1) Whether NTA requires the EWS certificate number during registration, and (2) The timing for obtaining the certificate (before January 2026 or after April 2026). I'll cover eligibility, validity, and tips as well.
As of now, the official chapter-wise weightage for JEE Main 2026 hasn’t been released by NTA. Based on past data, Physics (Modern Physics, Thermodynamics), Chemistry (Organic Chemistry), and Mathematics show consistent weightage. Focus on these while covering the syllabus.
