Candidates should ensure that they use the prescribed format while applying for the JEE Main 2026 SC/ST Caste certificate. The SC/ST reservation percentage for the JEE Main 2026 is as follows

JEE Main 2026 Category Certificate Format for PwD
The PwD reservation refers to Persons with Disabilities. These candidates are the ones who have a permanent disability. The JEE Main category certificate 2026 format for PwD will be released on the official NTA website for download.
These candidates are allotted 5% seats in each of the GENERAL, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST category seats.
The following are the conditions for candidates to be considered under the PwD category.
i. Candidates with at least 40% impairment, irrespective of the type of disability
ii. Leprosy-cured candidates who are otherwise fit to pursue the courses

General Guidelines for the JEE Main 2026 Caste Certificate
The following categories of candidates will be required to submit their caste certificates for the JEE Main 2026 counselling. The various guidelines and certificate formats are also mentioned below
Candidates do not need to upload the caste certificate while filling out the JEE Main 2026 application form. The caste certificate, however, needs to be produced during the JEE Main counselling 2026 during document verification
Caste certificates issued after 1 April 2026 need to be produced during the counselling. However, candidates should fill up the form using the caste certificate number already available to them, either the state or the centre. Candidates can then apply for the Caste certificate at a later date.
In case a caste certificate is unavailable, candidates are advised to apply for the state caste certificate immediately, as it will be ready in 10 to 15 days.
However, candidates should also apply for the central certificate immediately, as national universities will require the candidates to submit the central caste certificate.
