Modifications done under KEAM 2017 Answer Key

The authorities of KEAM 2017 have made a few modifications in the answer key after a few complaints from the candidates were received. The Expert Committees have made the following modifications in the answer key of KEAM 2017:

• In Paper-I (Physics & Chemistry), one question from Physics and two questions from Chemistry have been deleted. No marks will be awarded for these questions to any candidate. Valuation will be done based on 71 questions in Physics and 46 questions in Chemistry. The score obtained in Chemistry part of Paper I has been multiplied by (48/46), corrected to four decimal places. Similarly, the score obtained in Physics section of Paper I has been multiplied by (72/71) corrected to four decimal places. Both scores will be added to obtain the total score of Paper-I. 

• For Paper-II (Mathematics), four questions have been deleted from valuation. The score obtained for the remaining 116 questions has been multiplied by (120/116) to determine the total score corrected to four decimal places of Paper II.

KEAM 2017 Revised Answer Key

KEAM 2017 was held on April 24 (Physics and Chemistry) and April 25 (Mathematics), 2017. All of the applicants will have to qualify the examination to be eligible for the merit list and the counselling session. The result of the examination has been announced by the admission committee. Out of the 1,12,129 registered candidates, 1,00,350 candidates i.e (89.5%)   had appeared for Paper 1. For Paper 2, 1,06,264 candidates were scheduled to appear with only 90,645 candidates i.e (85.3 %) actually writing it. The scores were prepared on the basis of the examination. The candidates who had not appeared in any one or both the Engineering Entrance Examination papers and those who had scored less than 10 (except SC/ST candidates) in each paper were disqualified. The results of 1218 MHT CET 2017 candidates were withheld for various reasons.

How to Challenge KEAM Answer Key 2017

• Candidates must file the objection within five days from publication of the KEAM answer key by CEE, Kerala.

• In case of any complaints, the applicants can challenge the answer key by submitting an amount of Rs. 100 per question through a demand draft drawn in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram by May 2, 2017.

• The objections must be sent by post or hand delivery.

• The experts and the CEE committee will be responsible for checking all the complaints.

• All of the decision made by the committee will be final.

• If any corrections are found then it will be carried out by the committee and the submitted amount will be refunded to the applicants.

How to calculate the KEAM 2017 Score?

• After downloading the answer key of KEAM 2017, the applicants will have to match their responses to the correct answers.

• The marking scheme specified for KEAM 2017 given below must be used to calculate the probable scores.

• Probable Score in KEAM 2017 = 4 x number of correct responses - number of incorrect responses x 1.
